I cut back a lot I use to drink 1 pot per day. Now I just have 1 coffee and a thermos of Twinning's Irish breakfast tea with a little cream and honey. Canadians drink a lot of coffee its not unheard to drink two pots per day (24cups.)

Of all the rotating shift schedules, and i have worked a bunch of them over the years, this is the best one for the employee. Granted, all shift work sucks, LOL, but it does provide time off in bunches and it also makes time for the employees who want over time to make a lot of extra money.

I can hardly remember paying for anything with my regular budget. If I see something I want, I check the calendar, schedule days and it is almost like having a side job. LOL

Then the exception.....starting December 1st until last night I worked over 310 hours in the month of December. Short handed due to Holiday vacations and Covid coverages. The money is nice but I feel like I have been beat down.

Looking for some of that 'promised' time off in the next month or so. LOL

I know that feeling as well.

I just woke up from a 13 hour shift last night. I usually scan the internet before I get up and do the things I need to be doing instead of scanning the internet. Then do the rush thru thing.

I have one dog that is especially proud of the timing of his shit cycle. Yesterday I went out, did a quick rake, water and feed and he waited for me to turn and lock the gate....Looked me square in the eye and dropped his deuce. Yesterday I went back and got it up but I have seen the days I say, "Just don't step in it or drag all around, see you tomorrow" LOL.

I think he he is asking or maybe even demanding some more of my time. LOL

I definitely dont mean to complain. Having a job let alone a good one who gives mandatory over time is a blessing these days but got damn would it be nice to live a "normal" life too lol. Most days I spend enough time with the mutts to rake them, feed them, and give them a once over to make sure theyre alive lol. Been off quite a bit for the holidays(again a blessing) and i feel like theyre over me annoying them hours a day lol

    The same. Very appreciative.

I do the same. I do pick my first day off after a rotation (don't count today as I slept it away) to do the real once over on the dogs. Checking them over, the chains, collars, swivels, bowl cleaning, the works. It is the shittiest part of the dogs but it is where I unwind.

It is a sad state when raking shit and hauling water is the part of the week that keeps me sane. LOL

And as I made it sound so unwinding...there is tonight. It is cold and rainy and muddy and the dogs are more like pigs.

Tonight is the night where all of them could be had for a cold Mountain Dew. LOL

But then the sun comes out tomorrow and all is well in the world. LOL

Green tea matcha. Get best quality u can. Breaks down all heavy food. And improves brain function. Before this I was a coffee carnivore. Yeah they do exist. If I ran out and u had one I would go into the hunt mode

Y'all never had coffee till you get you some Cuban coffee. The shit you see the folks sipping from the little paper thimbles. When you get it the coffee cup is only half way filled and you get a few thimbles it's meant to be shared. Drink the cup and end up tweaking like a feind

Never been a coffee drinker. Tea either. I will however get a shot of expresso in my hot chocolate when I hit a Tim Hortons. Other than that, never touch the stuff.

Friend of mine won't touch coffee or tea and lets you know it; big gulps of mountain dew instead. Pure Kona (Maui), Puerto Rican. I started coffee around 20. I remember my late dad saying, a good up of coffee does not need cream/sugar. Went black, never came back. Although lately I have transitioned to tea for a smoother fix - matcha green/Japanese, English/Irish black leaves. Herbal in pm. For those who can tolerate it and adjust for the diuretic, I can’t find much evidence coffee/tea is bad for health. Just the opposite, as both are high in anti-oxidants. World’s most popular drug…

You guys have to try Mushroom tea. Yup the magic stuff. Do it responsibly. Get your water ready. Fast 24 hour and be surrounded by nature and good people. Then let the healing begin. U can google alot more questions u have before you go on the trip. But I feel reborn after. Just as we get physical trauma through our life and take things for muscles and blah blah. Mushrooms relieve the mind of mental trauma. And best thing is it's all natural.

I drink anything from k-cups to locally produced blends, trying to cut back on it as with the pandemic I don't move as much so I'm turning over to tea. Much healthier, feel calmer, not so jumpy, and my doctor is ever so thankful.

On bad habit I have is that I sometimes have it with a pinch of flavored salt. Cuts on the acidity and boosts the flavor. Still not ready to cut on that habit.
