who can track down and IP address ?????

someone thinks they can hack me so how do i find out who they are . i have the IP address .

You'd probably need to run a trace route and find out what internet service provider its coming through then contact them. Not something they will hand you over you will most likely need to file a police report and if something was compromised they will track it through their provider. At least its something along those lines

Nobody will give u a name unless u have some authority and can pull some FBI shit. You can do a trace route (just google it) on the IP address and that will give u a general idea where the location of the IP address is from if the person was dumb enough to do it from his home computer.

Yes there are a lot of videos on youtube that can help you to find more details, but I think that these guys could just use vpn providers and just change their IP adress, I guess that clever people can do like this, othewise they are dumb and they could be found very easy. Usually such type of cases are investigated by the police because the situation contains of someone that wants to disturb your privacy, so it is considered illegal and if you called them, I think that it was not a problem to create a lot of trouble to these guys.
