The complete game dog or The Pit Bull Bible? I plan on getting them both but since I haven't read TCGD and only CA Jack's tips I'm not sure which I should get first. What do y'all say.

The Pitbull Bible by Cali Jack. Way more useful information than the Complete Game dog.

Both have a lot of the same info but both have info the other doesnt. Both are very useful IMO. But if i was going to have just one it would be The Complete Gamedog.

Okay, I was trying to figure out which one was going for the crazy price... I knew it was either complete gamedog or velvet and steel, but couldn't remember which one.

Yeah, he raised the price he wants 150 for it now. Guess I'm going to have to spend that cash though. Damn.

I just got "The Pit Bull BIble" dvd's 2 days ago and it gives alot of handy tips. I was very pleased with it. All I'm waiting on is the book.

TCG has more historical accounts and stories along with the care items in the second half. PBB is maybe a bit more detailed as far as care, specific products, etc, but not as "entertaining" - not a lot of stuff about specific dogs. Both are excellent IMO.

Velvet and Steel is the one with the crazy pricetag, often $400+...

There's a few things in the PBB that I want to read... not real interested in the stories in The Complete gamedog though.

i think i would rather have the book of interviews myself more than all the others kinda like what Gorilla said not much in those 2 i didnt already know either but i have the books more as a preservation of history sort of thing alot of the info in those books can be found on the internet and on this forum actually more than anything im into the pictures and interviews

The stories in Ed's book are great, the info is not bad either. Jack's book is VERY VERY VERY repetitive..VERY, but it does have some more really detailed info on set-ups and health/nutrition than ed's. More useful is probably Jack's (aside from his ridiculous unneeded rambling and repeating), but as far as enjoyable...definitely Ed's. Sorry, i guess i didnt help much to pick between the two though lol.

Agreed, the book of interviews is an AWESOME read too.

Plan on getting both but at the moment I prefer useful to entertainment/enjoyable.
