I've just never heard of any cops ignoring the fact that someone broke into your home/stole onto your property & mutilated an animal. It just always makes me wonder what the rest of the story is.

yup yup. all the cops are good for is being uniformed paper pushers. it's true that they don't give a shit because you ain't their family. i got hit by a trucker and tried to pull him over with the cops on the phone. they told me not to follow the trucker and give them his license number for them to pull him over. they told me to get off the freeway and wait for a cop to file a report. when the police came, she said that it was my word against his and he said he never saw me or got into an accident. the cop told me i should quit and settle my loss with my insurance. BULLSHIT lazy azz cop. (and my cousin's a cop in san francisco too so i am not hating on cops at all. i just think that they never, aside from a couple of good cops, try to rectify the situation if it's too much work in general to do. you know what happened, you know what to do, you know how your family is paying for others sick actions. you think those punks don't think they all got one over on you? they expect you to come. difference is they don't know when. the balls in your court and whether you return the ball or ask for the refs call, it's up to you. good luck in whatever you choose.

he already said the cops are not doing anything....and may even be right in doing so cause the dog got out....which makes it your own damn falt...

but I would still get some sort of peace of mind by f'ing them up....

and I love my dog ....and would not be able to sleep at night knowing they got away scott free and killed my dog....

Yeah my bad. If someone beat my kid with a baseball bat and then shot them twice, I would just call the cops and let the wheels of justice just start spinnin like crazy. yup that's what I'd do mmm hmmm. B.S. We all have our own way of handling things. "Eye For An Eye"

 

I hate to say it, but if the dog hadn't been out, it would have never happened in the first place. Sure it was an accident he got out & we have all had an accident at one time or another but the fact remains the dog was roaming at large. That may be one reason the cops don't really give the case priority. That & the dog was a pit bull.

As for this "beat 'em down" B.S. I think it's pure foolishness. If these guys have sheets like he says & they did what they did to his dog what do you think they'll do if one of them connects him to their getting whipped? This man has kids & a wife to think of. If they beat his dog in the head & shot it w/ a shotgun what will they do to his wife & kid?

If retribution were to be an option I would first make sure I'd moved well out of that neighborhood for safety's sake.

Finally, as for the "F the police thing" I have to say I find that quite offensive. I was a cop in the military & I will tell you this: While you were asleep in your bed I was awake in the dead of night so I could watch over you. When you were eating Thanksgiving dinner w/ your family, I eating cold chow hall food alone so I could watch over you. While you opened presents w/ your kids on Christmas morning I was outside alone in the blowing snow so I could watch over you. Do you notice? Do you appreciate it? Do you even care? Usually not. In fact, the only time you even mention my kind is to either ridicule us, cuss us or ask for help when you're in trouble. But that doesn't matter. I still consider you "my people" & I will protect you.

Not all cops are the greatest, but remember what we have to put up with. We have chosen a dangerous job w/ long hours with little pay to watch over & protect an often ungrateful public. Some cops can grin & bear that while others cannot. But don't judge us all b/c of a few bad apples.

I do agree that the dog should'nt have been out and understand that it would'nt have happened. But if what he typed is true, it was no accident to beat a dog and shoot it twice. Where I'm at you can legally shoot a dog in certain non life threatening situations. But not beat it and then shoot it with a dam shotgun and then one to the head. WTF. And now to the whole cop thing. I'll stick with what I said. I've never called them and never will. Oh trust me I'm not judging all. I know there are some good ones and I have a few relatives in law enforcement as well as military. BUT It's kinda like you know the risks when you sign up as far as that goes. I'm not gonna get into all this and go south with the thread because it's very personal to me and I'm sure it would offend you to know from the heart how I feel about the majority of of law enforcement. To me military is different. But in any sense I respect your opinion, and in return I ask the same. If you feel the need to further discuss this PM me.

 

I'm sorry but The dog shouldn't have been out PERIOD! The fault is the OWNERS, PERIOD! HIS dog, HIS responsibility to CONTAIN him. I am SORRY for the dog, but I have NO sympathy for the owner. AS far as the "screw the police" mentality. Well, that is my attitude most of the time. IF this would have been me in that situation, (MY dogs are always contained and there is no room for error.) I would have noticed if my dog wazs gone but say that I didn't, the people would have known that they messed with the wrong person. IF these people ahve the record you say they do, IT wouldn't be hard to get the authorities to believe you acted in self defense! That's just me!

As I stated before in other posts on this subject I know I AM AT FAULT!!! It was like rubbing salt in a wound!!! I didn't post my info. so you can bash me, I posted it to let people out there know that my dog was bruility beaten and shot twice and authorities done NOTHING, I am the supect as far as they are concerned. I didn't post my story to have people debate on whether it was my fault or not (we have already covered that!)!

My comment: I agree as far as there should be no room for error, but guess what no human nor animal is PERFECT. And if you have children and your child got out of site for a few minutes (which it does happen, you cannot totally contain them) I hope nothing happens but sometimes it does.

4 Sorry it happened, and I only say this because I know it's hard even though I don't think irresponsibility should be rewarded with sympathy.

 

You are right about MOVE, don't worry that's just what me and my family plan to do, but when you buy a home it just isn't that simple to say JUST MOVE!!!! Also irresponsibility is not being rewarded with sympathy, did you read my post??? Well, anyways I don't need stupid comments, advice maybe, but not your ingorance!!! One day you will make a mistake and hopefully you will not pay like I did, but no sympathy needed from anyone, just letting people know that a dog was basically beaten to death and shot twice and suffered a horrible death while authorities twiddled their thumbs!!!! If I could post my pictures you would feel very different, the pics. are so horrible that this site will not allow them due to the blood, etc. Sorry your steps 1-4 will not be something I will remember.

 

I agree with Atilla, If that shit happened to me I would let the scene settle down for a little bit and BAM, say goodnight to bad guy. Sorry for your loss, I don't know if I could take that BS.

 

Thanks for your reply Bud, the BS is hard to swallow but someday they will be caught slipping and get what they deserve. I have no patience for Cold-hearted killers and animal abusers!!!
