That statement is not true, it is by a state to state basis and the laws vary widely across our vast country. As an example, in NYC and Long Island the average citizen cannot even own a handgun, let alone being able too sell them privately.

 

Well of course if you can't own one you can't sell one.

 

I was just pointing out that two people of legal age, in many instances cannot trade or sell firearms privately like you stated. I used an extreme example but in many parts of the country firearm purchases must be done through a third party that is a federally licensed dealer.

I’ve a been a fan of the traditional APBT since childhood. Got my first about 25 years ago. I was a subscriber to the Gazette for a few years too. Still have those olds mags somewhere. I remember the fad back then was the oversized dogs - 80, 90, 120lbs etc. Even though dogs of such enormity where way out of the traditional standard, a lot of those dogs look like they could do something. Some of em pretty darn athletic for their size.

As for this current fad with the blue bullies (xl, xxl, pocket, extreme etc.) perplexes me. And the prices. I try not to knock the other guy/gal’s choice of dog. But the bullies posted by @smalldog for example have conformation which apparently would leave them with a host of health problems. JMO
