I had them in the 90's and they were extremely rough combat dogs hard to keep them under 75 ibs.

These guys are a great source but I seen worst dogs in supposed to be pure blood game dogs from many different lines.

The only person I've ever seen on here openly talk about rolling dogs was you also. So being a "dog fighter" you probably should pass judgement on ppl you think are "dog fighters"...

I stated explicitly that I do not judge dog fighters. I know full well that the dogs I love were produced that way. And I never said I purposely rolled dogs, I just have had yard and other accidents.

More importantly, you are correct and I respect the fact that you do not speak on other's children...only the scum of scum do that. There are many pitfalls for children today, more so than at any other time. The schools and our modern society have an agenda that is often dangerous for children. My son got hooked up with a bad set of kids 2 years ago (drugs)...last week 2 of them were arrested for making terrorist threats (gun at high school). My son also is getting a C in Geometry and lost his first 2 wrestling matches. He is wrestling varsity as a young sophomore so this is going to be a tough season for him.

I agree completely. A GSD, Mally, Rottie, Doberman...all are better choices for this type of work than a Pit Bull. You are simply going to get a higher percentage of dogs that turn out. My last male could was probably the best fighter I ever had but was 100% not willing to protect anything break into the house and he would show you to the jewelry.

The problem is I just don't care for the above dogs, I would never go through all the trouble to housebreak, train, feed, etc. because I just don't love them. I fell in love with Pit Bulls long ago and they are the only breed I really want to own. I find the females the most snugly/affectionate dogs on the planet. I actually thought about an Argentinian Dogo, but simply do not want such a large dog. However I have seen Pit Bulls that make fantastic personal protection dogs....the people that say that they never do are simply wrong, it is just part of the lore of the breed, and the fact that what we consider to be true dogmen (the experts at producing the best fighting dogs) never train nor encourage their dogs to do that kind of work. As you can see by the posts on this thread it is very much looked down upon.

However, there are people like me that just absolutely don't care what other people think. I know my neighbors...who I generaly get along very well with, who band together in crisis, look down upon the breed, but again I am OK with that. I just make sure that there are never, ever any problems. Even with secure fencing my dog is ALWAYS on a chain outside, and I run her late at night when no one is around. It is 10:30 and we are going out soon.

 

Yep it's people like you that wind up on the evening news as another black eye for the breed.

I think you missed my point. You're the only one who has ever said openly or in pms your accidents were male on female rolls, your going to test your puppy, and you were hosting a "wp" at the crib....

But when ppl disagree with you you're quick to call ppl dog fighters. I know a good amount of folks on here none match dogs.

For all any of us care you can drown your puppy tomorrow it will not stop anyone else's rodeo. But you're far from the end all be all dog owner, your pup is far from a dog to brag on so far, and you kid is barely a teenager.

Their great human friendliness under almost all given situations is one of the charms of these animals. Instinctively, most also know very well how to separate evil from good. Personally I would never train one for protection work as it is against their nature and they are not bred or intended for that. Dog fighting is forbidden and therefore out of the question and talking about it is therefore useless. There are plenty of legal sports like weight pulling, wall climbing, treadmill races, and so on that they can indulge in these days.
