" freak" is the thing to focus on. It's very rare for a one off to reproduce itself.

No two dog's attain the same reputation (match records are unique to that individual) and it is often said these 'freaks of nature' cannot reproduce themselves. So what are the traits that a 'freak' has to possess in order to be known as such????

  5. A freak is a train that ran through everything that was put out n front of him probably 15% of dog men if lucky will ever have a dog like that. It's not hard to understand what a freak is... look at grch tornado she was a freak and she never produced anything close to her. A freak is an ace dog who never produced anything like itself. Michael Jordan was a freak his sons never filled his shadow.

Wasn't tornado only bred 2x? both small litters? Once to a full brother once to a half brother?

The whole Mike comparison is Idiotic....

I would've taken famous greyhound, famous horse, etc but what sports legend produced what they were? Mike's kids grew up bouncing balls on a court with their dads logo in it. Mike did it in a dirt driveway. Mike's dad couldn't afford shoes, Mike had his kids laced up in the "get you murdered" 11s at 6...... retarded to compare dogs to humans.

Freak and ace and game and great are all terms that will get nine different definitions if you ask ten different people.

Every one gets their own and since I have mine, I don't try to debate or dispute, how others define those things.

But when you throw a number out there I will chime in. 15% is way off. From this morning all the way back to the first 'pit bull breeding' one would be hard pressed to say 15% of dog men actually had a great dog'. The number of dogs that the majority would consider a freak would then be less than 1%.

Since I like to log on and tell lies to add to the commentary and make myself feel better I will tell a couple more.

Ch. Angel was let go 7 or 8 times, three were contracted, and all but one did not make the ride home. If I just stated her record of 3 wins all with RIP, and 3 or four rolls with all but one being RIP, and nothing getting to 40 minutes that record would suggest freak. She scratched like a rocket, found her sweet spot from the onset and then laid down on the floor. The opposite would be thrashing and working and really putting forth effort. Then around thirty minutes would slow, then fall and Angel would stand up for five or so minutes and we would be collecting money shortly after that. She finished 6 or so dogs on her back. And on Sundays she was turned loose on a river bank with two Blue Heelers and they play fought and splashed in and out of the water like nothing you ever seen. She was bred to two males that both produced winners and she threw one dog that would be considered a good dog, other than that plugs and curs.

For me, she defines freak to the utmost. She was devastating in the box, although her style was not devastating at all, if that makes sense. The number of winning dogs that can run free with other dogs is hardly ever seen. And she didn't throw anything remotely close to herself.
