I'm working on building up a spore bank for my buisness. While most of it will consist of gourmet and novelty mushrooms, we will have the Psilocybin Cubensis strains (spores) to offer as well.

I'm still in the process of studying up on the laws pertaining to Cubensis spores and the sale of. It's complex being that it's on the Schedule 1 list.

I was going to go on a spiritual trip this weekend but got busy doing other things. Next weeks looking better for it though. Lol.

This what I got inhouse currently:

    Inside the grow tent.
(No Cubensis growing, in liguid culture or on Agar as that would be a federal offense).

We just have Pink and Blue Oysters growing at this time. Might inoculate some Lions Mane later today in the SAB but We're still getting everything set up, organized and making sure we stay on the right side of the law with all this. We've accomplished a ton in a short period of time though. Once my custom built Laminar Flow Hood by Lab Rats gets here we can really start pulling everything together and start really filling this grow room.

Most of the time what I've seen online spore prints and syringes are not a problem in MOST... states sinc.e there is no pyslicibin in them .not entirely sure on culture syringes ..I've been wanting to see ...agar plates .. but don't know the difficulty involved mostly what I've seen is spore syringes directly into rye grain bags ..wait a while for mycelium to spread. then into a mono tub with pasteurized coco coir and vermiculite .didn't even add gypsum ...most containment resistant strains I've see were the z.stain and treasure coast ...the KSSS strain wasn't worth it to me .the ones that sound really interesting are the non cubensis strains like the blue Meanies

Yes, it's just the Agar/L.C/Fruiting that is illegal. Problem is, we use L.C to make it. Or more of it I should say. So that's the hurdle we're working with currently.

The Syringes are just the spores in a non-nutrient suspension like distilled water. Once you add a nutrient to the spores you are now encouraging growth. That's when it becomes illegal.

I was pissed when I found out we can't take spore to Agar with the Cubensis. That's the part of this whole process that grabs me.

It's a different world for me that is new and has grabbed my attention like the dogs did a few decades ago, and still do to this day. The difference though is I don't know shit when it comes to the mushrooms other than rudimentary basics. Like being a small fish in a very large pond. I myself still have a lot to learn in this game. My biggest issue is trying to balance it all between my real job, the dogs and this new venture. They say anything worth wild isn't going to just be handed to you so I'm just trying to dig in and see where this goes. Worst case scenario we fail at the commercial end and just recoup the loss on the low. Lol. Either way, I'm getting my 5k investment back one way or another so I'm going into this like a enjoyed hobby not my bread and butter. If it takes off I'll revisit my priorities.

Bro you will be just fine. I can remember starting my first legitimate business. After 20 years of being a outlaw lol. Just enjoy the process and remember success is paved by how much struggle you are willing to endure. Even though this will sound crazy. Don't even think about what you invest financially right now. Just focus on learning how to run a business. More than likely you ain't seeing profit you will put in your pocket for a few years. Personally I only pay myself 500$ a week mainly for tax purposes. Take everything you learn from the dogs, streets and life in general apply it to your new business and you will be just fine.

Thanks. I figured it will be a while before we'll turn profit. We have it set up
75% goes back into the buisness
    12.5% to my partner
    12.5% to me.

Once the lab is fully done we can throw tents up anywhere we want. More tents = more grows = more $.

Most who really know me know that I am not a risk taker. I'm not particularly worried about the money right now. Total investment so far is less than I spend on weed annually and I just paid my last child support payment 2 weeks ago so even in the even this endeavor tanks, we have contingencies in place so we dont really loose out at all. Im pretty sure we can succeed at this but will take some time to get our name out. In the mean time, I'm just enjoying the ride and learning something new.

30 day grain spawn of Blue Oyster fully colonized mycelium. Ready to go to substrate or do grain to grain transfers. This species mycelium is so aggressive compared to others we have going.

    20220421_133926.jpg

1 week after grain to substrate transfer. You can see real nice rhizomorphic growth. These pictures just don't do what's going on here justice.

Had a minor set back. The place we set up just want going to work so we broke it all down. We got another building and this one has a storefront. It's also on a main through way through town. Get the keys tomorrow and then we have to set everything back up again. What a pain in the ass. Anyways I got some Pleurotus ostreatus I salvaged and brought home with me. I put them to friuting 2 days ago. The mycelium is so aggressive in this species. Crazy colonization.

Mycelium growing 4 inches up the bag. There is no food there.

Another week and these things will look spectacular

To show just how aggressive these genes are. The Lions Mane was inoculated to grain just 4 days after the Pleurotus ostreatus.

Lions Mane is just starting to colonize

    20220506_191503.jpg

Pleurotus ostreatus should have been shredded to bulk a week ago it's so colonized.

Microdosing psilocybin is extremely popular round here now, and broad demographic too. From middle aged professionals to guys running big businesses and then typical group of teenagers exploring… thankfully there are no laws on the books here so it’s legal.
A couple of us are going to go out into to the country macrodose pretty soon looking forward…

What looks nasty? The mycelium? Everything looks as it should.
The white is the mycelium and the yellowish tinge you see is mycelium metabolite otherwise called mycelium piss. Just an excrement from the mycelium itself. Very normal appearance. No contamination. That shit looks like dollar signs to me lol.

Be careful! Where is here? In the USA psilocybin is a Schedule 1 controlled substance. Federally illegal in all 50 states and US provinces. Anything short of spores in sterile water is illegal to poses. If you live in CA, ID or GA even the spores themselves, which contain no active psilocybin, is still illegal to have in those states. Just be careful. Microdosing has been become poplar over the last decade. We plan on making tinctures to support the uptick in demand for things like that. People want them holistic benefits that many species of mushrooms provide. Main reason we grow Lions Mane. It's the tincture people want. It will be the next boom like when CBD and delta 8 hit the scene.

My laminar flow hood and hepa filter shipped the other day. Once I get that here probably monday or tuesday of this week and get set up that's when my real interest kicks in. The dopest part of this prosses to me is Agar work and way mycelium grows out in the petri dishes, doing transfers and cloning.

Note: Not mine, just showing for those that don't know what we're talking about. Lol
