everybody has thier take on the saga of lightning billy,,,
but that tombstone says it all and you cant put a spin on that him being killed by a punk kid...

 

Well he told the kid he was fix'n to kill him, even though the kid bush wacked him, you just don't make threats like that, especially in that area in those days. It was A tuff time in A tuff area, from what I heard it was just A matter of time!

Yeah you should never tell someone your going to kill them before you actually do it or else their liable to try and kill you first

I was told the kid didn't serve a day in jail. Law enforcement was glad Lightn'in was dead. You can tell by the Tombstone his family was not happy about it.

 

I was sure the young man might have been elected mayor or maybe rewarded the mayors daughter...

 

Lightn'in and his group were a small tight nit group. They didn't have the power like some of the Gang Banging groups do today. A young man beat him up badly down by his home. The guy lived through it and he says he was never bothered, threatened or anything later on. I'm sure he worried about his fate. Yet some people would have a minor fuss with him and they would find them dead. When I got in the fuss with him he threatened me several times through the years and nothing happened. I'm alive and he is dead. He made me real cautious and real nervous because I knew his reputation.

I do not consider Lightnin Billy a hero. He could not read or write. A man that lived close to him beat him within an inch of his life and he did nothing about it like people thought he would. He lived several months with a gay artist who painted some famous pictures of him. You can check on this story about the gay artist he is on the internet. Lightnin told me he was going to kill me and my family because I would not let Maloney hold a forfeit for a match I offer to match into Lightnin. I Offered to send the forfeit to Mayfield and he even got more angry. Well, he is dead and my family and I are still alive. About half that crap him and his buddies put out was bull. So if you like him for a hero your easier than I am at picking heroes.

I remember some men came to steal my dogs, I never owned a phone at the time, so they had no way of knowing whether I was home or not.. I was making dinner for my daughter when they arrived, one of them high on drugs became aggressive straight away while the other (more dangerous) one just stood trying to work out what to do next, since they clearly never figured me being home that evening.. I was shitting myself because if they'd killed me, then I knew my daughter would get it next.. I tried to keep a cool head, offered to make coffee as an ice breaker, went to the kitchen and slid the 2 biggest boning knives from the kitchen into my trousers waistband.. Long story short they probably knew if I was going to die, they would too! They left without finishing their coffee, but more importantly they left without any of my dogs.. I knew they'd come back again, but a month later I heard one of them had been murdered.. I can't explain the relief I felt after hearing that news.. Moral of the story! There's a lot of good people in the dogs, but also plenty who are mad or just bad! Truth is stranger than fiction.. Sometimes life imitates the dogs we love so much and you don't need to kill your enemy, just outlast them!

 

I live in a “warning shot” state. The only warning shot you’re getting around here, is if I miss the first one...

I’m no tough guy, but I will protect my loved ones with my life. I’m either friends with “bad guys” or steer clear of them. I can’t say the kid was a “punk”. If a killer said he was going to kill me, I would take that as gospel. Threats on your life should never be taken lightly. Maybe he shouldn’t have went TOS on his ass, but hand on steel when I see him. Ready, not premature
