Suicide

I'm picking up what your putting down. Assisted suicide is a whole different thing to me. I don't agree or disagree with it as it's a whole different can of worms and spirituality I feel would fall under murder more so than suicide. These issues all go agince what the king James teaches. I've never experienced that kind of pain so its hard to say how I feel about it, sort of how i feel about the abortion issue. I personally am pro life but its not my place to tell anyone what to do with their bodies so I say I'm pro choice for others. 3atm3 said it best, its not so cut and dry and no 2 people are the same however people who commit suicide may end their own suffering while creating a huge wound for those they leave behind. Anyway you look at it, its a sad situation to think you have no other way out of your problems.

 

Yes it is which is why I don't get a script for it. Id rather buy it off the street as an as needed type thing. Never take it more than absolutely necessary and most times will just deal with the pain rather than take anything. I only take the tens as they have much less acetometiphen and more hydrocodone. Definitely could lead to a slippery slope if abused, have several friends whom are narco dependant and it scares me enough to not abuse it. I don't need problems like that in my life.

 

I strongly believe that suicide in the case of the terminally ill who wish to die is valid and ethical, and should be legal everywhere. People who don't have hope of recovery, and are in pain or paralyzed, and whose medical care is eating up the assets they had worked hard to save for their families should have this option available to them. Notice that I didn't say that they should have this option imposed on them. To anyone reading this, consider having a living will created that lets people know what to do if you are in a coma, etc., and can't make your own decisions.

Fella, I never disrespected military personal so maybe you need to learn some reading comprehension skills. Suicide is quitting life. Period. Regardless of their profession is what I said. You have to be very careful buying that shit off the street though or even buying it online you don't know what the hell they put in those drugs or where they come from. At least if you are getting it from a pharmacy like walgreens or cvs you know it's not tainted shit with other dangerous chemicals added to it. Be careful with that AGK I have heard horror stories about that .... You would be better off getting a prescription for it from a doctor as needed than just some random drug dealer off the street.

 

Thanks Sadie, I don't get them from just any one. I have good friends that get them for back surgeries gone wrong. Good people that were just fucked up by modern medicine and some of them would rather sell their script to pay bills than to be broke and pain free. I don't make it a habitual thing of it as I was raised to deal with my problems rather than bury them or mask them with pills that will only bandaid the underlying problem. Dr's these days seem more ready to passout pills than to find the root of the problem.

 

I could never judge something that I don't understand. I can't even begin to imagine what these people are going through. I know plenty of people that suffer from depression but i don't know what that feels like, so I just try to be supportive even though I don't get it. I remember I saw a show about some guy who set up a camera by the Golden Gate Bridge to record the jumpers ending their lives. One of the men that jumped survived. He later said that as soon as his feet left the bridge he regretted jumping and was happy to have another shot at life. Suicide is sad, I hope that anyone suffering from depression gets the help they need.

 

Damn this is a depressing topic but touches on some real issues. Suicide number one is a sin and absolutely selfish. However, I have been down this road and tried to take my own life as an 18 year old and can assure you that anyone can find himself in that situation. You may be able to handle everything life throws at you at one point, but not always. It takes just that much or little extra to push you ov er the edge. I believe suicide to be demonic as God is the giver of life and it takes more than a state of mind to push you over the edge. A sane nmormal person cant even bite through his own skin, how still kill yourself? Our basic instinct is to live/survive. It takes a spiritual infuence to rob of of that instinct. Take any bum on the street and offer to put him out of his missery. He wont choose death because we were created to survive "anything". and yes, I am a Christian. not the best model, but it is my belief.

 

Careful, that dependence sneaks right up on you, even after years of casual use.
