I think pits staffs & ebt were a cross of bull and terrier but some lines of pits like the others have had other breeds put in them over the years.

You could be right mate. I`m not sure what work can be done there re: baiting/hunting etc as I live in Connecticut but I do think some of the UK people with the more athletic show Staffords do have an interest in some of the athletic meets like ACES.

Dogs like the ab and presa canario could be very closely related to the bulldog, people like Stratton strongly disagree and believe the apbt is

I think the AB is more related to early pit dogs rather than early bulldogs from Europe!!but that's another thread for another forum lol

You only have to look at some pits to see the terrier influence.

I have been to the ACES meet and I will say first hand that the dogs that are recognized there are splendid I wouldn't consider them show really not the ones that place atleast. Most of the breeders I met there are very intent on keeping their dogs in "working" homes I say that because it is athletic show work and not hunting or matching which I consider to be diff.

so the civil drive that some pits have could it be the bull terrier infusion? bull terriers can be man agressive i've been told something that have put me off from maybe owning one

  12. the amstaff : for those that dont know the breed should take the time to go back in any amstaff ped and tell me wut u see. the only difference is the standard for comformation, the name and what they are bred for. if the breeders of the past and some of today were honest then u would know that they put a staff in the line to losen up that tight linebred or inbred dogs they have but paper hung them to cover it up. if u dont know then ask, its as simple as that. everyone that owns a apbt has a staff somewhere in the ped but dont know it. LOL ! so yes the are very similar in fact they are the same breed just bred for different reasons.

i really like the pitbull but would rather have a proper stafford, hard tho they are to find they are worth the search , not saying they are better just my prefeance thats all

  20. Preferred out of pit or staff? I wouldn't give a staff kennel space. Fair play to those who have got good uns, not my place to doubt it. But there is so much shite about that they're best avoided altogether, IMHO.
