    Look man the only difference in Soul Food and Southern Style cooking is Black folks will say Soul Food and white folks will say Southern Style but ain't no dam difference in the 2....its same dam thing.

    This is very true.

    We had a restaurant here that sold the best fried chicken on the planet. Not much to look at, the health department frowned upon it for years and then eventually condemned the building. My cholesterol numbers more than likely improved but it was a blow to me and the community. LOL They tore it down and built a 'nice restaurant'. I think they threw out the grease because when they re-opened it was still great fried chicken but maybe a hair off from best in the world. LOL

    The older black lady that cooked in the back was rude, she would ask "WTF do you want today?". "White folks come in here like they know something about soul food". I would say I might not know much but I know where to come get the best fried chicken in the world and she would say, "Put and extra wing on that white boy's plate".

    Then she would hand me the plate and say, "Fucking white people always beating us out of something for free".

    I'd laugh and say, "Be back tomorrow". And she say, "Fucking white people".

    Maybe the best relationship I ever had. An absolute true understanding in the power of food. She could call me whatever she wanted as long as she was frying chicken.

    And of course I would throw in she was meant to be 'barefoot and pregnant' to get an extra "fuck you" on the way out the door.

    That is food with soul and it comes from the south. Call it what you want. Same flavor-different labels.

    These fast food chicken joints ain't no dam good and don't taste nothing like fried chicken ibgrew up with.I don't fuck with none of it.Crust isn't the same,not as tender and they all seem to find some weird ass spice they use as they trademark and it ain't worth a shit as far as taste.

    I had no idea the food was unhealthy. Or is it. Maybe just couple bad ingridents like the lard fine just change that to coconut oil. Just get healthy subsitutes for every ingrident. But to say its all no good. Anything we do can be done in healthy way. Except for my spelling cause i really dont give a fuck.

    I wish i could show what i caught on Thrurs. I invited the kids and some friends with 11 people everyone got a thick big square of salmon. I made with lemon, butter, herbs and little seasoning. And good booze. U want to see people so full and drunk. I couldnt stop laughing. Cause i toke and drink a little.
