Nice looking bunch of dogs !

 

Nice pack,i like CATS,CURS and PLOTTS also.All three of these breeds (or types in the cat and curs catagory) all have something in common.WHAT IS IT? i only expect people from the southern region to know.

Curs and PLOTTS diffently have bulldog in them. CATS are being bred two ways,RANCH style usually to hearder types and the CATCH style. Breeding to bulldogs benifits these breeds gameness and valued grittyness.We can also put
DOGOS in this category and practically all efficiant catch dogs of today including AMERICAN BULLDOGs.
CATS are americas oldest breed from the CATAHOULA lakes of LA and thier state dog.The storey is when CORTEZ was conquired, the spanish left behind WARDOGs that native americans bred to thier REDWOLVEs ,and they were crossed to any and every breed or type that benifited what they were used for hunting and ranch work.Because
this they bred true to thier work and had a loose gene pool that kept them more healthy than others.I notice
both the PLOTT and the DOGOs gene pools getting smaller.Because they are a breed and not a type,the pool suffering and will become extinct with out new blood.The DOGOs were bred to be white to be seen in the hunt,this hurts them as they have the albino issue being white.Alot of hunters cross these breeds or types together and also to bulldogs for the hybrid vigor they add.CURS and PLOTTS are breed from a bulldog and hound crosses ,both CUR breeders and CAT breeders always use new blood and have better results than the pure PLOTTs of today.Has anyone noticed PLOTTs, BLACK MOUTH CURs, KEMMER MTN CURs and FLORIDA CURs look alot like BULLDOGs?i notice the region and history that perhaps MAYDAY was a BULLDOG HOUND throw back,those ears are as hound as any to me atleast.

 

Yea, I am a girl who hunts hogs. We had an awesome Plott but he passed away.

I've always wanted to hog hunt. Was going to goa few yrs back, my bro inlaw and his family hog hunt with american bulldogs. But like all laws in CA things got backwards quick. While out hog population is going rampant, hunting with dogs has been banned here.

 

I really enjoy hog hunting and I hope it's never out lawed here. If you think about it the wild hogs that are caught live way better lives than the the meat from the grocery store. I also like knowing no matter what I can always provide food for my family and it appears my dogs have learned to respected each other more. I think they realize they each have a different job and they need to work together to have a successful hunt.

She sure looks impressive to me,her eyes are all buisness.She has a IRONHEAD & GRCH IBM look that i like .
That color usually throws widows peaks or mickey mouse caps in those dogs like the pic of your pit rb bmc dog with your better half.I LOVE THAT WIDOWS PEAK AND ADMIRE YOUR WHOLE PACK.If your cat is like a majority of the ones ive seen,its probably the one of the smartest and healthiest dogs alive.Besides APBTs, CATS are probably AMERICAs BEST ATTRIBUTE to the k9 world as the most complete dogs avalible due the constant new breeds or blood used if bred right. My old roomate gots a 2 yr old that does it all, very intelligent.

The dog with the widows peak is her daughter. I was unsure if the peak came from her or the cur hound mix father.
