Gamedog.com , Gamedog Nation, R.O.M, Carver/Eli, Outcasts, pitbullcity, & my old Favorite, referral only Gamedog-elite. Lots of old boards, knowledgeable folks, debates and covers been pulled on those sites. I miss good boards and like them moreso than a random ass facebook group. JMO

Even though I can see the issues internet presented in these dogs, I must say registering to a board like this has been of a great value to me so far. Coming from a country where gamedogs aren't much of a thing (alot more in neighbouring countries though) it's hard to get some basic knowledge, let alone in depth talk. It's basically internet which sparked my interest in the dogs, a very strong interest. I'd assume if you use your head, the net can be a great thing.

A bit besides the point, but I thought I'd make a little positive note as well lol.

I like this quote from Ed Faron from an interview I was reading awhile ago:

Now for my own opinion on the rise of the "online dogman": as a newbie, the Internet has been a wonderful resource to learn from. I was discouraged at first when I first started asking questions because a lot of people advise to get a mentor you can talk face-to-face to, which, don't get me wrong, is wonderful advice! but it's useless advice for the newbie with no contacts. If I had someone close by to learn from, why would I be here in the first place? :P

Thanks to the Internet, I've been able to find the proper resources (especially books!) to learn from
I've made contacts that would've been impossible without being online
Access to videos so I know what to look out for when my own time comes (even though most videos are from Russia or China...)
This is probably the best history class I've ever been to, and meeting some big name people has also been an amazing experience
And most importantly, this website does help change the minds of a lot of folk who have certain views about pit bulls. It may not be a majority of people who come here, but I'm sure it's a good number of people

Of course, the main downside I can think of is when everyone is hiding behind anonymous identities, it can be hard for a newbie to figure out who to listen to, and who to ignore (which is why books are so important!)
Just as easily as I, or anyone else with good intentions, can learn and meet new people, so can the Feds
People don't know when to shut up--they type faster than their brain can think, and up ratting themselves and others out
We have to hear about more complaining furmommies who somehow come across sites like these; at least they're easily banned
And lastly, peddler galore! It's easier to hang papers on the Internet now I feel, and it's so easy for someone to pretend to be someone their not in an anonymous environment like this.
