I will go read some of the older posts on each site. I did not realize they were that far apart.

I was slim on peds as well but there are several versions/variations of slim on there. When I joined the PBB I just started EWO, Eyes Wide Open.

I am glad I seem younger on at least one. Same guy. Did not think there is that much of a difference.

I hit up the new owner. I wish him the best with the board. I hope it works out for him.

If I ain't mistaken you can register free. I've got emails about pm on there from cj about it being for sale and other Shit. But I'm with the other guys I won't pay to simply be part of the site, and since I got no desire to simply post peds I'll hang out over here lol. As for sharing accounts not happening, unless someone post that they are doing it how would you know?

It is like a gym membership. The monthly fee is really high if a person only goes once or so a month.

The PBB is much the same. $30 a year is a lot for the casual user. I felt like I got my monies worth and I did not use all that was available. I used the pedigree part but I did not put a lot of effort into using the database. I read and enjoyed a lot of the articles. Posted a few as well.

I would be willing to say very, very few people ever left the site due to lack of value or lack of content. The previous owner of the board carries 99% of that weight. A lot like the Pitbull Bible book itself, well worth the price, regardless of the writer.

I talked to the new owner as well. Seems like an alright enough guy. I'll just let others jump in head first give it a few months then ask them how it is before I decide to give it a shot. Too many bad board experiences to just take it for face value..

good evaluation and I agree that paying that much a month is way too much if your not using the site fully and I think this site is fine,,, maybe having a pedigree site added here would be great and someone can make that part a joint venture with the owner...

the little write up about the famous kamakazees hunter red dog would probably hold true here and thats the only thing I dont like about this site is...
when hunter reds stud fee was cheaper that lesser value breedings were made and went the stud fee was upped the quality of the breedings improved substantial,,,
eith that being said the same thing why I come to the site,,, its free is the same reason I dont like it as any old dick strattons,,, new tom garners or hardtime harry can post alot of stupid shit,,, Im sure some think the same about me but at least we dont have to pay to read it!!!

I would pay thirty dollars for a year but not a month,,, never been on pedsonline forum but was wondering what the price they charge and for what exactly???

I also hope to hear feedback on the pitbullbible sites new ownership and hope it all goes well,,,
maybe if the price dropped the subsription would go up,,, but then again thats more work and less money...

I agree with saiy when he said that the members make the forum and maybe some of us should get paid to add to the pitbullbible if we add content and they charge for it...

Why would you pay to add content to a site? Was a member of a non dog forum where you had to pay $30 a year just to be able to post pictures and videos. Your paying to add content when it's the members that make a site. What are you actually paying for, surely costs of running a site can be covered by advertising. Is it to keep the riff raff out, lol.

Congrats to the new owner and best of luck with the site.

There is a huge potential there and it can be something very useful and unique but it is not an easy task. Look how many folks entered duplicate pedigrees on there, or put in spelling errors, thus creating confusion and a muddle of pedigrees like on the Peds site.

$30 a year is less than $3 a month, how is that expensive? Most folks pay far more per month for cable TV and/or cell phones.

Personally I would rather support a dogman's efforts rather than something like Feds on Line… which is also $30 a year subscription.

Good to hear the banned members will be reinstated and a free trial period is a good idea but one would need to keep an eye on IP numbers so people don't just sign up with a new name when their free time is up… that is also how you check on sharing accounts (but the new owner probably already knows that).

EWO, you had some excellent posts, I am surprised you were banned, how stupid, to run off good members.

The PBB is a $30 yearly subscription. The pedigree database code was engineered by CA Jacks brother. His brother is not a normal CPU geek he has developed software for the US Treasury, GM, and major Bank institutions. TBH there is nothing like it online anywhere trust me I've looked.

I'll post a pedigree once we are back online!

It's 30 a year just like pedsonline. You do get a much better, more accurate database with the PBB. It also has more functions, add more pictures of the individual dogs plus video if its available. I do prefer the PBB over pedsonline. Been a member of both since the Bibles existence and much longer on feds. It can only be better without Jacks involvement in the forums. I wish the new owner nothing but success with it. Hope it works out for him.

Sounds good for those that need to use the PED function but can't the cost be met by the odd occasional adverts?

A pedigree is only as good as the man who hung it, lol. Even DNA testing can be faked by testing the wrong dogs and claiming otherwise.

Dogmen are notorious for hiding their "recipe" and making up pedigrees to sell dogs.

Good luck in the new venture i'm sure those that need it will subscribe.

The IP address monitoring is fruitless against multiple accounts when there are plenty of free Ad ons that hide an IP address such as Hola etc. Even using a phone or resetting your modems IP address would fix that.

The internet is like the wild west for those that can use it, if major billion dollar movie companies cannot stop internet piracy then a Pit Bull forum is not going to be able to stop multiple accounts and account sharing if people are sensible and know what they are doing.

you'd be surprised what the software on the backend can do. When I got banned on this site by the previous admin I used a VPN and everything to try to register again. He always seemed to figure it out eventually...lol
