Just lost my 22 month old bitch, I know everyone has had this experience but whinging about it will make me feel better. I work security shift work in a fully fenced 2 acre compound so could often take her to work, my boss and the cleaners loved her she wasn't there as a guard dog. Due to some confusion the gate was left open she went out onto the freeway and was killed instantly.Living here in Australia finding a well bred pup is a bit like asking a stranger to sell you a kilo of cocaine or hiring a hitman. In my earlier posts I have photos of big bitches I had 10-20 years ago. I gave them up for 10years until 2 years ago.I found my pup(with a lot of hunting) and took the big risk of paying $1800 after seeing a youtube video of the litter. I bought her from a breeder who some claim is a peddler who has pretty pedigrees and charges too much. In my experience I couldn't be happier,he lived up to his word, it's hard enough owning a dog let alone becoming a breeder. I'm not into any dog sports or hunting, just a dedicated petbull owner. She went to the deserted surf beach at least once a week and out in the car most days. Although I socialised her as much as possible with other dogs I watched her like a hawk making sure she wasn't going to be challenged as she had high prey drive and would love to have a go (if I let her)at horses, cattle, lizards, bush turkeys etc, etc.

Contact the breeder abd tell them the whole story. Maybe they will be willing to give you a great deal on a new pup. I know its not the same, but it might help you out some.

    Sorry for your loss.
