    well, as promised- i come with news. i close on my mountain property next month. it has everything i could ask for...and is over 3 miles from the last power pole. Off The Grid, rustic living.

    you lucky son of a bitch. some solar generators, a satellite for internet, and you're set. looks like you'll have a fun time trying to farm anything out that way. I have an uncle and 4 cousins who went in and bought 1000 acres in Cumberland Co. TN. They all got a 200 acre tract. My Uncle's place has a 1000 ft elevation from front to back, and my cousin on the other end built his house by the cliff and has about 800 ft down to the back of his property. they are out in the sticks.

    does your property butt up against a state park? theirs does, so they don't ever have to worry about development in or around their little haven. last thing you ever want is neighbors whose driveway you can piss on.

    i need to show the wife this.....i've been trying to convince her a 2400 sq ft barn finished out with a loft for bedrooms in the middle of nowhere is they way to go......

    Looking good RR. Been working on a similar deal. Alot of work going off grid but it'll be worth it. Wind,water,and the sun with lots of battery storage. Good luck.
