No good dogman will give up weight....stupid. I know some have but there's usualy a reason behind it....looks good on pedsonline "going up hill 5lbs" but its dumb in a contracted match...take the money and pack it up

 

I've seen that too. And no reason to get mad since its all speculation. I dont have a dog with either (Ruby or Angus) in the ped so it makes little difference to me. I just like to state my point of view on the matter. It has been a good convo ecspecially since we've debated it inside and out with every scenario..lol

 

Thanks for the conversation Rock. I too appreciate this since there was never any mud slinging ever. In the end, what we do know is that Jeep ended up beating Homer and it also resulted in the death of one very fine dog. It is a shame since Homer was an all around bulldog with a lot of heart.

One dog went in to become the Top ROM dog but the gamer dog snd the one who probably would be greatest producer died that night. He went ROM in two breedings. He sure would have hit more times than that had he been home breeding..

 

Depends on who you ask. Jeep technically is the 2nd ROM dog on the list, with Frisco being the top ROM. However, if we are talking about statistics or percentages, that title would go to Midnight Cowboy. The boy produced almost more wins than offspring and produces producers.

 

The last official SDJ has Jeep.

 

You ever thought about this "nasty head dog" getting punished in the chest bad? Shouldn't happen if he's that nasty huh. Stop making an excuse for an animal that you didn't breed man. I can see that happening. Especially if he had never been in serious trouble(he was outclassing all others). He didn't know what was going on when he got put behind.

 

Thats why it doesnt make since to me. The only man that ever "saw" it happen was Stepp While in the other hand every other man that ever witnessed him said he was an ace. I can see a dog whos never been behind curring under punishment but I cant see a dog who cant get put behind by conditioned dogs his weight in the [] get put behind by a smaller dog on the chain. It makes no since you cant deny the fact thats theres holes in the story.

 

Not trying to be funny or anything sampson, but has it ever occured to you that Angus was a talented dog, but not a GAME dog? Two of the dogs Angus made his claim to fame against were Otis and Freddie, both were quitters. Another interesting 'hole' in that story was if the going to bring Angus back out to go into Jeep, if the didnt cur out, why after he healed up they still didn't bring him out? He was unheard of pretty much after that.

 

Cause didnt Stepp only want Jeep cause him and Crenshaw were having alil beef or something? And yeah it did occur to me. Does anyone know how long Angus' previous matches were?

 

crazy how we still debate this match after all these years. someone has got to loose in that show. jeep may not have been better then homer. but he was that night no debate there. who really know if angus could of done better? he wasn't there that night. % of homer don't say much about his production because he wasn't bred much as far as we know. jeep produced with damn neer every bitch he was bred to. not much room for debate in my eyes.

 

Wasn't no beef JC wouldnt even beef wit Stepp.. He didn't even use his name he called him Billy Walking.. They were all dogmen and gamblers. It was JC wanting revenge tho after Otis got spanked and they bragged about beating a no talent average ability Otis..

 

Idk maybe I misconstrued this for a "Beef".. I understand what your saying but was Otis known to be " a no talent average ability" dog before Angus? If so why even use him?

 

Just revenge for losing that every competitor wants. Not a beef tho.. Yes Otis got fame for a long show he was never popular he was average dog no ability just showed gameness.. It was a case where handler makes the dog famous. Which is rare but JC was that good.. Why use him? Because everything gets used when you're a dogman nothing gets to rot.. He took a chance on him bc he thought with his keep he could outshape and outhandle the opponent.. Otis should have been retired after he had the long one when he scratched 20 times or close to it..dogs that do hard one and go to that deep deep end sometimes never wanna go that deep again and most quit.

Otis shouldnt have been brought out against Angus after that long battle (we both can agree to that). Did Otis quit to Angus or was it a game loss? Im not sure why I went to forum battle for Angus as I have no dogs down from him I just see to many holes in the story of what happened to him. Does anybody know who Angus' toughest comp was? (other then Ruby) By toughest i mean who was the most feared of the dogs he went into?

 

Stinson and Stepp also wanted to get Back at Jeep because he whipped there Black Glover dog .So they where gonna use Angus for Jeep . So there was a bit of revenge on both sides . Angus beat Ch Freddie(ch Homer and ch Mtn Boy's littermate bro) Ch Otis , Rixeys Coal Cat, Love's Ch Tiger , Garza He-Man i believe . Who was the most feared ? I dont know but those dogs won a lot of shows

If he quit on the yard who really knows im sure if you talk to the right people you will get an answer . I swear if somebody made a book of Gamdog investigative reports to shed some light on these old stories they would make a few bucks , Might hurt a lot of feelings in the process too lol
