“we can't forget Tom Hanks' partner ole Hooch in "Turner and Hooch" which was red.”
That dog was not a Neo, it was a “Dogue De Bordeaux”.<O:p</O:p

ie. a French Mastiff which are also very drooly and powerful, but kinda slow, like a clodhopping tank.

HOWEVER - the mixes were started - I am not looking to breed my dogs with anything at all and def. not to add to the issues they have by being bred to a mastiff..
Thanks for the info about the folds and health issues, I figured that it had to be something like that - just looks like a problem. I would die if I sat on my couch in a pool of DROOL, LOL... I DO have a weak stomach!

mastiff's make great pets and guard dogs, here is a pic of ours, if it wasn't for him the 3 scoundrels that broke into my dog yard would probably have gotten away!!!!!

lol....actually, no, i bought him from someone else, didnt plan on breeding him, in fact i had him neutered, i got him to protect the yard lol and he was still a pup, (8 months) when he was stolen i think my old neighbors did it, but i could never prove it. and im sure i got the numbers right, his sire was pit, and his dam was 1/2 neo and 1/2 olde bulldogge. that would make him 1/4 neo, 1/4 olde, and 1/2 pit right? lol anyway......;)

Actually, for such a big dog, my (clodhopping) Tank can move pretty damn fast over a short distance. I was pretty impressed the first time I saw him sprint. Like, WTF?!
Cur? Hell yeah. Gaurd dog? Hell yeah. He (or any molosser) could easily maul a person to death at the drop of a hat.

I KNOW, I KNOW!!!! My mind was just a buzzing when I first seen this picture! This is a rep. of the breed???

if that's a rep of the breed, then i sure wouldnt want one, that looks more like a deformity than a standard! that cannot be healthy, we own an english mastiff (see earlier post) and we already have some drool issues and have to keep his small skin folds clean all the time

We have an english mastiff, It looks nothing like that neo, thats just sick. For being such a big dog, they are very quick for their size when they want to be. But mostly, they are just big, slow, lazy, guarddogs.
