so just recently, my boy is a huge pain in the ass. he whines a lot, all the time it seems but i figured thats his way of talking kind of, but when i pull a frisbee out ... he goes crazy. if he sees me grab the back pack sometimes he'll scream and start shaking haha. but i almost cant even walk with the backpack on, then when we play and he starts to want to chew it up and gets super tired he wont drop it, i have to trick him that im going to throw it again then tie him up and put it in back pack, he'll even jump and try to grab it from my hand. he goes crazy, or i'll have to get the breaking stick. i got the frisbee the other day and he snatched my other dogs fetch ball and i had to walk him all the way to the truck with it, then break him off it. he knows what drop it means but will not listen, at all. i have worked with him i have been patient, i have popped him on the nose/ass, i need some help here ....my other dog i have trained from a pup will drop the ball whenever i ask her too, and i have no problem, shes awesome, but this guy .... i dont know ...if you have any other questions of whats going on or some advice would be great, he's 3 in november

Have you tried using multiple frisbees? One of mine has a thing about running around with it and that works for her. They are not retrievers by nature tho so you know.

he dont run around with it, he'll just start to destroy it haha. i have tried that and i can get the other ones hes not chewing on lol, he's like this with any toy really, but with frisbee's its even worse..... i will check the vid thanks very much for the replies .... anyone else have any little tricks i can try to stay consistant with that'll maybe break him. he hates hates water so im thinkin of a no or a drop it followed by a spray bottle, i may try that but i think he'll just take the water haha i really respect the drive my boys got cause i know hes not dumb and knows what means what but damn, so difficult lol

the only other thing too though, is that dog will sit there patiently ... if someone was standing in front of my dog (banks) he would be screaming and going crazy to get at the frisbee ... should i just leave a frisbee out more maybe he'll loose his drive for it .... when i left a rope out he would still play with it when i played with him but he wouldnt go crazy physco for it ...

  7. I would change the toy for a little bit. And re introduce it later.
