My new Female

If I'm wrong about the whole breeding rights tell me. I'm open for questions or criticize. I don't want to breed her because of paper because I would rather have a small yard of 5 or 6 dogs than 20 dogs that aren't worth the $0.33 it would take to put them down. Thank you

 

not sure what you mean about breeding rights? but if you mean by waiting,then i'd have to agree,as well with it being better to have 5 or 6,then 20 solely on how a ped looks...

 

Thanks for catching that...lol. I used the wrong set of words. What I mean is we have to see if she makes the cut. She's never been bred so the first set of pups will be kept except for a few that I will let go. I have bred a few dogs but I don't sell to the public. I only did it because I had 8 or 9 friends who wanted some dogs and I sold them for exactly how much I put into them and not a penny more. I had reciepts for the vet, food and supplies that I gave with them. I divided the cost for food by number of puppies I had total and then told them what it was going to cost. I think I ended up letting them go for $150 or something like that, papers and all. I did charge someone gas money though for driving 4 hrs away to deliver a pup to them.

Well, as long as you raise them hounds the right way, I don't think you will be dissapointed with your purchase. I know the man who bred your draiden dog, and he is a good man with good dogs.

 

Mac, that's awesome. I've talked to him on the phone and he seems like a nice person. He's the guy who has that female also. I'll be making the drive down there to pick both of them up in about 3 weeks. Very excited to meet him and pick up my new dogs.
