Member of this board sick with cancer

I am very sad to read this. She fought it but cancer is a horrible thing and it took her so fast. I am so sorry. My condolences to her family. Christie was very helpful to me over the years. RIP Christie, you will be missed.

Is there a way to help pay her medical bills? Those can be huge and with or without insurance the costs can be staggering.

 

Her husband is setting up a PayPal account very soon . Or I can get you in touch with him if you don't know how too .

 

Sad how one day we can be bickering. And another we can be gone. Remember..it can all be over too quick. Stand for what you believe in. . Be real..and stay true.
I was under the impression YJJ.. learned me a thing or 4 over the years. I was not aware that she was a she..but that is what she wanted me to think I reckon.
I wish I had got to know her better like , y'all but sometimes we turn ourselves off to certain things or individuals. It is life and I hope to argue with you again one day..
And Yes I'm sure her And ST are up there laughing at me. Salutes RIP..and even though some of us don't deserve...please watch over us all...if not ..just our dogs.

This is very painful to read. YJJ was a good friend and a repository of bulldog history. I'll donate when I get paid. I've lost too many people to cancer not to try to help.

 

The thing is we have to help our extended family . 1 day we may need this help our selfs . There is are some t-shirts left .

Greets AGK and old goat, I am sending a copy of this to each of you because I dunno how to PM two people at one time. Was Christie's fav dog Chan's Floyd? I want to donate a painting/some paintings of her fav dog, but I assumed she liked Yellow John and Jocko best for obvious reasons. I'll put it/them on eBarf and donate--if it's a big painting--two thirds of the proceeds to her husband's PayPal account (two thirds because it'll probably cost like $50 to ship a 20" x 30" canvas). If it's two 9" x 12" paintings it'll only cost like $7 to send each painting and I'll pay the shipping. If her husband is on eBarf I can snail mail both paintings directly to him so people can be certain that he is getting the proceeds. Please tell me which dog/dogs she liked best and what color they were. It shall be easier to do the two smaller paintings than one big one.

Oh and did I tell you that I fucking hate cancer? It killed my mother, who was all I had and too many of my other family members. Naturally I must do something in memoriam of a friend who died from this evil disease. TIA, The Keep Book

 

I forgot to ask, can you post or link to some relatively high-resolution/high-detail photos of Yellow John and Jocko? I already have some of Chan's Floyd.

 

We went with Chan's Floyd because it was the best picture we could find at the time and Danny conditioned him 3 times . I will get with Chrissy's husband and see which dog would be best to use . Thanks for your help and FUCK cancer .

Here are two of Tramp and three of Floyd. I am still tinkering with them before I paint them. Most of the versions of the most common shot of Floyd are too low-resolution.

 

OK, this post includes the sketches. Again, the real thing shan't have the watermarks on them.

 

I like that first one best. Good job on all of them though.
