Looking to find a good home for my girl missy

Discussion in 'Rescue & Adoption' started by bryant'smissy, Apr 17, 2010.

  1. She is 3 years old. I just lost my job and can no longer afford to keep her. I am in the upstate sc area. I would like for her to go to a home that will get her spayed. I never got her papers from the breeder. But I know that she does have some Amstaff in her. I am only asking for a small adoption fee. She is the dog on my avatar. Please help. Thank you guys.:(

Please do not adopt her out to someone you do not know. Be sure anyone that anyone that gets her is aware of all the issues involved in owning the breed -- laws, insurance, high possibility of theft if left outside unattended, neighbors can be a big problem, do they have room for a dog (be sure the dog doesn't have to live in a crate), are they gone 12 and 16 hours a day, can they guarantee they will not pass the dog along to anyone else except back to you, etc

Please adopt her out to someone that does not rent. It is becoming real hard for renters to to find a landlord that will let them keep their dog -- and then the dog gets passed on again.

These dogs find themselves in real bad situations once they get out of a stable home because there just aren't any responsible homes left for them. They tend to get passed on and on again and you never know what happens to them. Please find a way to keep her.

Also, spaying her will reduce interest in her by about 99%. And you wouldn't want to place her with any of THAT 99% anyway.

And no rescues. Too many horror stories about them. Better off putting her down than to let her get into the rescue system. IMO

Ok, im not tryin to be an ass or anything but you arent an organiztion right? so when u say small adoption fee how can that be because you are really just selling her cheap the money goes to you not to help other dogs as if u were to adopt from a shelter the money is used to other animals guess it just sounds better than selling my dog really cheap

Actually, a lot of owner adoptions do that to discourage people who want to get dogs for free for research facilities and other non-good home things.

  5. Exactly, my Missy is worth more than money to me. But I dont want Any jackasses from nicholtown trying to get her soo they can breed that crap out of her. I really don't want her to be bred at all. She has some faults and is pet quality only. But she is a great dog none the less. I just have come into hard times. So if you know someone who A. loves the breed B.has time and love to give her. Tell them too hit me up at 864-270-4273. If they spay her immediately I will give back 50% of the adoption fee.
