If the kennel seems to be working well for you, I would like to know the model and cost.

That. Is. Awesome. Where did you get the fencing? If you don't mind telling, I am trying to make my dogs a similar structure!

  13. That's super tight dude I really like the gravel idea. I think I might try something like that with my kennel. Good job!

Not anywhere near complete but just put it together today. I plan on getting the frame off the ground this weekend and work on the flooring.

The problem here isn't the issue of chain link...but the gauge of the link. It is too light. Go with 9 gauge or heavier and you will be fine. Skip the 11 or 12 gauge stuff you see at big box stores.

One would think...but over the last 13 years with big dogs...I can say 90% of our health issues have been sores caused not by concrete, but dirt. About 10 % of our issues have been related to chains. We never have issues in the concrete kennels. I wish it wasn't that way as the kennels cost much more...but they do work better for us.

as long as u have good bedding for them thier wont be many problems..I am using cedar chips right now in the concrete kennels makes a good bed for them.Winter time a layer of pine straw over the cedar chips..I havent had any probs with my concrete kennels either.Mine also have thier own yard so its not all concrete. So they dont have to be on concrete 24 7.
