    ^^^^^^ huh??? Lol

  3. Built the 1 sheet of plywood dog house but wanted some overhang for my roof, so i cut a sheet of plywood in half and squared it up on the top and put hinges on the back so I can change out my bedding.

I sort of did the same think but without the hinges. the top side is an inch winder all round so instead of screwing it on I put a wood guard to prevent it from sliding off but can be lifted off to clean regularly.

  6. Here are a few pics. i actually changed it since these pics. I changed the way i had my hinges screwed to my top. I also put a latch on the front so that i could move the house without worrying about the top flying open when i grabbed it.

I bought the kennels from tractor supply. Just like everything else you have to check for rust and clean and spray a new coat of paint on some areas every year. The door latches i drilled a hole and srewed them down so they wont come off. Also i have a bullsnap which acts as another lock if the latch fails.
    Hope that answers your questions.

  13. Do you guys have any recommendations for some insulated dog houses you can buy (pre built)? I like the one's in this thread, but I don't have the building skills.

maybe someone in your area can give you a labor cost if you buy the materials. the blue prints to the home is on the thread.

X2 on what ursa said. Get on craigslist, there's all kinds of people offering their labor on there.
