Id personally only use ACV.. WITH THE MOTHER IN IT.

I wipe my girl down prob 1-2 times a week. I put some ACV on a wash rag, and just wipe er down, in between her toes, belly, chest, exc.... I even wipe her ears out with it, to keep them dry. Ever since I've started wiping ACV in her ears, I havent had any issues with her ears being moist...

    Worth a short.

I PERSONALY wouldnt use the peroxide, because i know I* dont like the way that shit feels on a cut or whatever..so im sure my damn dog isnt gna want that ish in her ears.

Just try the ACV (WITH THE MOTHER IN IT).

Did you take her to the vets? Or u are just thinking that is the issue?

Check on some Lab/Retriever forums. Some of them get it alot. I was thinking it was so many parts vinegar and alcohol. Vinegar to kill the yeast and alcohol to dry out the ears. But dont hold me to that. Research it. Here's one of many links out there but use your own judgement. http://www.naturalfamilyonline.com/go/index.php/419/dog-ear-infections

  4. Change feeds. Your dog is probably allergic to something you are feeding. More than likely chicken. Get a lamb or venison based kibble. Problem solved. Just a guess, but I bet I'm right.

Both gave good advice.Use the Apple Cider Vinegar to wipe the dog down.Put some in a pale and soak his feet then pat dry once or twice a day if time permits. You have to find out what is causing the problem.Boogie is right start with the food first and see if that helps. Here is a link it might helphttp://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2011/05/03/eating-these-foods-can-make-your-dog-itch-like-crazy.aspx

Anything grain free. I have a dog prone to yeast he is on Taste of The Wild Pacific Stream, and he is blue so he sucks at life and gets a teaspoon of ACV in his kibble every day or so, but your dog should be alright when you try better foods.

Diamond Naturals is good feed for a good price. They make a lamb.

Always hear this blue and skin issue stuff, my girl has yet to have a problem. Is it really that common in the blues? The dog that I went through this yeast infection/allergy stuff was a red/red rescue mutt. Go figure.

The majority of them, if not fed a proper diet and taken care of, will get some kind of skin issue. It all has to do with the dilute color and that most if not all are from compounded blue to blue breeding's simply for color and nothing else which just causes more issues in the dogs.

When I first got my dog he was on Iams/Nutro Puppy, lots of grains and super full of corn, he had horrible dry flaky skin, some days it would be so greasy it was like he was deep fried, nothing but runny poo, and his body just smelled like pure nasty, but after getting him off all grains, his fur and skin completely turned around and he looks amazing.

On occasion his yeast would flare up, so he gets the ACV in the kibble, but I have been lessening that due to him being on 50% raw right now. So far no yeast or other fur/skin related problems. He is also from a byb typed blue to blue breeding so he isnt bred for anything but his color which gives him a higher propensity for skin issues.

Well my sister is going through the same thing with her red brindle dog, but again it has to do with the food (Ol'Roy) and the breeding, backyard breeder making "pure bred pits" and selling them for retarded amounts of money, if you arent breeding healthy great quality animals together your going to compound the problems from the parents into the pups.

Yeah my thoughts is it has to do more with poor breedings than color. But this will be my one and only blue so as long as she is fine.

Change the feed, dont use shampoos with oatmeal( yeast love that shit ) Use a medicated shampoo lather on and let it stay on for ten minutes. Slow process but work have patience. Also no treats, yeast love sugar.

Feed one crushed clove of garlic once or twice a week.
Use a shampoo with tea tree oil in it.
A couple drops of tea tree oil in each ear.

    Hope this helps!

That tea tree shampoo does work for dogs with skin issues. I also use a cheap conditioner for humans and seems to work well when I was feeding kibble. Since I have not fed kibble my dogs have never looked better. Not for everyone but it has made a huge difference in my dogs.

Yea bad breeding is a lot of the problem, but being a dilute color it causes a lot more issues, then bad breeding blue dogs to other bad bred blue dogs makes it all kinds of crazy lol

Same here, I wont ever own another blue dog, not worth the stress on trying to keep him healthy

  16. i used white vinegar warm water 50/50 to wipe out the ear and ear drops i bought from a pet shop cant remember what type though and was told this is very common in bull terrier breeds as they have sensitive skin i also stopped giving her kibble high in wheat and grains since these can aggravate this i started giving her raw (id hide garlic purée in the chicken leg because if she could smell it or see it it was regected i think the garlic also helped get rid of the fleas she was having a rough time that month lol) and no exaggeration it went that week after weeks of trying to get rid of it without changing the food shes been on raw about a month now occasionaly feeding grain free kibble and shes gone realy shiny happy and healthy

Look up the "Yeast starving diet" This diet takes out all the sugar and starves the yeast out.
Ground beef 70/30 5 lbs they used roles like the ones from Costco
18 hard boiled eggs shell and all
    multi vitamins
and omega 3 and 6 additives

In the drinking water add 2 table spoons of ACV.
This is just a quick draft, look up the diet.
There will be a point were there will be a massive die of of yeast don't panic, just keep using a good medicated shampoo.
they recommend 30-90 days. Once you clear this hurdle, feed a good kibble.

Sounds like the only thing that is doing anything about the yeast in that diet is the ACV, I bet you could get the same result just using the ACV lol

Yes but if sugar is still present it will feed the yeast. This remedy seems to be an end all in order to give you a clean slate to start from.
