All accusations, the Sonny dogs resemle the Holts Jeremiah/Bullyson/Eli phenotype just as much or more than the Pit general Phenotype ...Pictures of gr.ch.Midnight resemle Jeep down to the "puppy grin".These two type dogs had softer features than the OLD FORSYTHES BLACK SHINE(aka Mayfield's NIGGER) who seemed to have more rough rugged square features that i see in the Aligator dogs...Styles from the Midnight seem to favor the BULLYSON EX ARTS MISSY dogs having more bottem and not so much topend...Ive seen pictures of offspring off BLACK SHINE when the Forsythe had him, they look like Alligator dogs and dont resemble that soft subtle smiles of both Midnight,Vengence etc...Back to Blackshine,he was a rough cur and earl took him back and gave him to mayfield.
They changed his name as his old owners culled all the offspring that they didnt sell.Sure he produced good, PITGENERAL was a freak which the nigger blood was known for.INDIAN PISTOL,MIDNIGHT,MIDNIGHT JR.,VENGENCE are all known for gameness and not one freak of PITGENERALs calibre has came down from THE PISTOL...

I dont think that the Midnight and Jeep dogs look and act similar for a coinsident as Indian Sonnys base was basically old Colby Dime stock (similar to Finleys Bo)and he bred that to Pistol whos pedigree is similar to Honeybunch...ALL REVERSED SPECULATION OF COARSE...

Back in 87 I met Sonny at Ken's place of A-Team. Eddie from Yankee Boys made a deal with Sonny in 1988 I believe from the conversation Eddie had with Sonny at Ken's. Eddie sent a bitch to Sonny to get bred to one of Sonny's . Eddie couldn't travel at the time. Well weeks went by and Eddie contacted Sonny several times about his bitch. Sonny gave Eddie BS story and Eddie got real pissed and promised Sonny that if he didn't get his bitch back she would be the last dog he would ever have any dealings with. Ted ( close friend and partner of Eddies) called Ken up and explained the situation,because Ted knew what Eddie was going to do. Ken contacted Sonny and the bitch got sent back. As for Sonny I know he was a good dogman that could put one in shape,knew how to breed them,after show care was very good, he could spot a good one real quick, and Sonny had access to some very good dogs and dogmen. He learned from some of the best. With that said he did a lot of dirty things in the dogs. No more then some and no less then some others. But a thief is a thief to me.

 

Now unles you fooled around with both bloodlines long enoughf and have been selecting on both geno and pheno types long enoughf as we did to have known there ins and outs i gues you can make that kind of a statemend.
