Well, since those dogs have been dead for around fifty years and 35 years respectively, NO ONE is breeding them pure. No one can. Then, given the fact Bullyson wasn't bred an eighth as many times as you see him appear on breedings, you'll have to settle for the appearance of his name behind dogs you get.

Quality of the current dogs (the ones you'll get if and when you find them) is what counts, so, if you can attain that, that will be great. Any fraud or huge amount of time gone by since those dogs were alive will pale to that fact. I wish you luck on that score.

Florida, Louisiana and Texas are prolific in dogs which show such ancestry on pedigrees. People today aren't and cannot be responsible for the juggling of breedings that long ago. There are some very honest and forthright folks out there, and I hope you find them, and in doing so, get the quality of dog you're looking for. I can't give you specific names, but I hope suggesting those three states proves to help you. Good luck.

We are breeding to this male right now. He was bred once a few years ago and the owner had some health issues. He kept him a couple-three years planning to continue with the dogs. It just did not work out.

This is not what one would call pure but as close as one could get based on the time between Honeybunch and now. Like TDK said. I have made the joke many times before but it always applies. The only way to know how a dog is really bred is to win three-four-five, go onto produce a number of champions and wait ten years after the dog is dead. At that point there will always be some internet jockey who 'knows' how the dog was really bred. Always happens. S

Damn I don't know why the hell I can't figure out how to copy and paste shit on this damn iPad but go to page 11 of the history section and read the article frank Rocca wrote. I was just reading it last night, I'll try to post it later when my old lady gets home. It's about bullyson and Maurice carver and pretty much about what these other fellas are saying
