Hi all need advice on getting a Patterdale.

Hi Im an avid hog hunter here in SW Florida. I hunt @ least 3 nights a week. Im interested in Patterdale and or Jagd Terrier as my new dogs> I currently have curs and Bulldog crosses< but I have a JRT mix with Australian Red heeler and what a ball of Fire! So Im thinking to myself as I watch my feed bill steadily grow and well it sure would be nice to add something new to the hunt that eats less. Anybody got an Idea of where I should go? PS - Papers are a plus but not necessary, Free dogs have always been my best dogs, but Im willing to pay a little something for a quality dog:dogtongue:. Thank you all very much.

A German Hunt Terrier has a way different temperament than a Patterdale!!!!!!
They are good all arround hunting dogs but sometimes far too noisy and also if hypered and fired up more likely to bite you aswell!!!!!
Believe me, I used them and they are terrorists on four legs, hard, fast but often way too hypered!
Some serious hog hunters go with patterdales instead, just look at www.patterdale.de
In Germany a German Hunt Terrier is from 150, -- to 500, -- euro!
Also keep in mind that they suffering from lens luxation!

 

im from the the uk but there is pleanty of good patterdales in america if u cant find any give b nuttel a ring in uk
