Mr. Macho buck is a proven producer of some really nice bulldogs. Pee Wee was a cull. Two very different situations. Wouldn't be in too bad a spot with something off MMB.

 

Was anything done with any of the dogs you bought from them?

I didn't do much with them, 2 showed a lot of promise, and 2 really didn't, I didn't have a problem with the dogs, I had more of a problem with the people.

Put some more fire ass red boy jocko in that blood.Might see less mouth in some with the lower amount of tombstone/Bolio but you won't get any more pee wees.

 

This may sound crazy to some,but I have quite a bit of experience with red boy jocko Bolio tombstone dogs.Breed heavier on the Bolio tombstone side and you get red,red nosed dogs who are a bit rougher.Flip side is you get more culls.Breed more on the Red Boy Jocko side and you get more buckskin black nosed dogs.Average to below average mouth but speaking from experience NO CURS whatsoever.Whole litters of screamers.

 

IMO, The problem with Pee Wee wasn't he needed this line or that line but more so that he was the product of breeding cold females. In his 4 generation pedigree, there was 3 (if memory serves). He was the only true cold dog I've witnessed first hand and it was a sight I will never forget. I almost felt bad for the little retard lol.

I once talked to Evolution Kennels about him and the guy made every excuse in the book, up to even saying the dog had Babesia, could be true, could be false don't know as he was never tested or showed signs of it however none of my mutts have tested positive for it so I just believe he was full of shit and didn't like what I had to say about the dog then ego jumped into the picture. With the right cross, and breed away from those females in his pedigree I think the dog probably could have produced worth wild. However, I myself would never waste my time or money on breeding to a dog like that.

 

Yap peewee is definitely not a standard just like any litter you'll find the Bulls and the not so bulls. However I still love that dog

 

IMO...the success of this line past and present really came from the men behind them, there associates. Just cause you acquire a dog from that kennel or circle...success isn't guaranteed.

 

Absolutely I fully agree.. He sure did look good on paper though. Just goes to show folks how sometimes that don't mean squat. There have been some extremely good dogs though coming from many of those dogs. Not my cup of tea but one can't deny the success of the dogs in those peds when you pack it with ROM's and Gr Ch's.

 

Can’t comment on the so-called “truth” of said named dogs and their offspring's history, as that is not my interest. But from what I see in pictures, the stud/dam line-up at Evolution looks to be strong, agile and athletic with near ideal conformation - ready to run, swim and pull till near death. Admittedly, I'm also a fan of the red, red nose amber eye pigmentation.

It looks that both mr machobuck and machobear produced a champion each,,,
mr machobucks champion was from an outcross,,,
and machobears champion puma is linebred machobuck,,,
this tells me If I were to get a pup for that much I would consider what has already worked with these two studs,,,
If I wanted a linebred machobuck dog I would choose machobear and if they were not of box quality,,,
being from a tight family might make for a good brood,,,
on the other hand if I were looking for a battle dog I would choose an outcross,,,
perhaps off mr macho buck,,, but machobear would be nice as well,,,
from the outside looking in as its all a crapshoot...

I think it matters what breedings are made and what clicks,,,
some families if tombstone such as hellbend actually have the oppisite effect and are deep game with out much ability,,, the hollingsworth dogs were also deep game,,, the carrs bullet dogs had ability,,, durability and bottem end as the tombstone dogs were known for,,,
the termite family of redboy jocko dogs tend to lean towards the jocko side of high ability and also not many game dogs for that line,,, the waccamaw dogs are known to be similar of higher ability with not as many game individuals as a whole...

But I understand what your saying and agree as tants dogs in general are high percentage of game individuals and the tant family adds these traits to other gene pools,,, Tants travis produced very high percentage of gamedogs,,,
I had this john dog and gave him to some fellas that offered him at stud and they bred him to this machobuck gyp
that I might get a pup from,,, a nice breeding and we were also thinking the same thing you mentioned about this breeding...

 

I would love to see some peds of what worked and didnt for you if you would like to share public or private,,,
I like seeing peds that couple with your views to help me further understand what works with those crosses,,,
