Don't know how many people hunt/fish on this forum but we'll give this a try. lol

    Post your favorite recieps.

I took this off a website but I had it not to long ago and it was awesome!

~ 4 squirrels, cut into serving pieces
    ~ flour
    ~ 1 tbsp cinnamon
    ~ canola oil
~ 2 large Granny Smith apples or 4 medium MacIntosh
    ~ 1 bag baby carrots
    ~ 2 - 3 bay leaves
    ~ 4 cups apple cider
    ~ 2 tbsp corn starch
    ~ 3 tbsp water

Mix the flour and cinnamon together in bag.

Heat the oil in a large skillet.

Shake the squirrel pieces in the flour.

Place meat in the hot oil and cook over medium heat until browned all over.

While meat is cooking, peel, core and slice the apples.

When meat is done, place in a casserole dish.

Layer on the apples and carrots. Add the bay leaves.

Pour in the cider. Cover with foil or lid and bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees.

Remove the apples, carrots and squirrel to a serving platter. Remove bay leaves. Pour sauce over the top of meat.

If thicker sauce is desired, mix the corn starch and water together. Stir into the sauce and stir until thick.

Serve and enjoy with pumpkin pie for dessert.

Deer Tenderloin ...cut down the middle with a sharp knife long ways ,dont go all the way through so its butterflied.Put some cream cheese and sweet jalapenos in there fold it back over, wrap the entire tenderloin in bacon and tooth pick it to seal it back together and you can put a rub on the bacon if u like..I like to cook mine around 250 on the smoker or oven..Just dont over cook it.Cook time depends on the size..I cooked so many I can just eyeball mine and tell when its ready.Meat thermometer works good if your unsure.Wors great with pork tenderloin also.

Bama that sounds awesome!!! I'm going squirrel hunting tomorrow and deer season is right around the corner, I figured this would be a good way to see how people cook their food. We butterfly our deer meat but all the way through about 3" long, cornmeal, salt, pepper and a little bit of onion powder and fry them. I'm going to give your recipe a try next time.

Keystone, even though that defeats the purpose of this thread lol that does sound delicious!! I love italian food, we were in tuscany a few years back and I never wanted to leave. Now that I'm back in the states, I couldn't be happier though. Catfish is good but you have to have it smoked with lemon, takes a few hours to cook through but it's the best fish I've ever had. Crappie is up there as well!

Keystone, lol China does eat some crazy things. You can see them cook it. It's wierd.
I went to Amsterdam a while back and had some really good food but everywhere I ate it wasn't like the USA. You go to eat and where ever you are, they are from that country. We went to an italian place, they were from Italy, you go to a Albanian place, they are from Albania or so they say. lol Huge fight with that but it's whatever.

I did like how you could order food and it wasn't expensive, I really liked how much they gave you for what you paid. I figured pasta would be a small dish, I couldn't eat all of it in one sitting. It was to much and they asked me if I wanted some type of desert. I about puked from being so full. lol Great, Great wine over there.

Keystone, I didn't know that. I have seen the italians make it, along with several other pasta dishes. where we were staying, there was an older lady who lived not far from the villa we were at. She would cook us food and it was to die for, I might have stayed if I could have found a job. lol
