Puck's only 4 and a half months so we don't do anything serious or for too long, just want to be prepared for when he's older. We do 2 or 3 walks maybe totaling 2 to 3 miles a day at a leisurely pace and he does spring pole or flirt pole maybe 3-5 minutes at a time every couple of days. All feet on ground, no sideways running etc. He runs around the backyard with zoomies on a 20 foot line at his own pace maybe 20 minutes a day too and of course we do some fun obedience which doesn't build any muscles except those in his mouth from eating treats. :D

  3. I had a springer and lost the pole. Only having the insert on the bike, I took a piece of pipe and some VERY heavy bungee (I can hang by it) and attached a bull snap. I use it with the 2" 4ply Stillwater collar. The dog can't pull me off the bike if I'm paying attention. My dogs will take me for a run. They will do all the work. I try to peddle to keep up, but they just run faster. I have been thinking of using a harness, but they don't seem to choke or have any problems with the 2" collar. I try to limit the time, speed and distance with my 7 month old. She has such drive, she would pull for miles, if I let her. She's too young for that, so it's swimming, running at the beach, flirt pole, and spring pole.
