Wow 25 pounds. The smallest one I've ever seen was a 31 pounds and her sister was 29 pounds and these two were line bred dogs off of Leo Kinard.

 

Now before anybody can say anything Leo Kinard Passed away in 1976. Mike Taylor was Leo Kinard yard boy when Leo passed away the dogs were being divided up between the family and Mike Taylor. Mike Taylor was my mentor.

 

Was Mike Taylor related to Jim Taylor david63? Just that I found this photo, thought it might be significant?

We called her Mary Lou, a total mutant of a dog, pushed in Mug same as CH.Bash and a little cork screw tail, too small for work so they used her on foxes, burst them like chickens.

I have not spoken to Mike Taylor in about 10 years.

Question for you guys.

How do you think the UK Reid dogs would have done over the pond?

I know they were down from the Yanks' stock but how were they performing at that time over there?

 

IMO some would win, some would lose, same if their dogs came over here and no different playing the hogs at home either.. It's still a contest between what you bring and what you know!

 

Do you know of Jim Taylor mate? I never heard of him before?

 

Think he was know for having some great bitches ,,

 

"Jim Taylor was known as the bitch man,as he had quite a knack with the females he matched.Ch little black was one of his best efforts,a great bitch." Stratton". He was from Mississippi,,i think i read in one of pete sparks mags once he had some kind of incredible win record with the bitches,of like 20 consecetive matches or something.I find it a bit confusing sometimes looking at peds,because there was another dogman in Florida called Adrian Taylor as well.

Also just to add to the confusion there was a Taylor in texas as well,i am not certain but i think this was the man who,s dogs were behind Giroux carlo dog.I tried to find out on the forum before,but didnt get anymore info,so dont take it as gospel lol.

Ive got that video and a couple of others of eds but i dont even have a video player nowdays lol ... thanks for sharing patjr ! .... that staff on there was way out classes but at least he was trying .... most modern day staffs are an embarrassment and only a caricature of them old types
