to judge a man of mayfield or boudreauxs lifetime achievements on a picture is obsurd...
to judge a man on his body of work they dedicated their life to,,,
there is no comparison as they both rank at the tops with few others of that era that impacted the history...

I don't think redbeard was trying to judge anyone he was simply pointing out the truth that the dog quit just like most those other dogs from his blood that's a fact.And don was all for the truth so he wouldn't have a problem.

Going off topic also I wanted to address another post of yours about rod kershner I wanted to post in the topic but it was in the rip section and I didn't want to be seen as a hater when that's not the truth at all but there is some things in your post very off and it's obvious you didn't know rod which you said yourself but for the benefit of others I will say a few things.

You mentioned rod lived by dons word he didn't at all far from it and that was the problem rod was a sales man he was a great character though and I did enjoy talking to him when he was normal. He started out with fantastic dogs the best you could want he has pure mayfield blood via brasken askum or not tazz and then some of the ch jesse james blood which is another pure mayfield family of dogs not spoke of much because they died out unfortunately but they were super well bred animals.

Anyway rods goal in dogs was to sell dogs which is fine aslong as what you put out is of high quality and i believe the dogs he put out at the start were of exceptionally high quality but years later he started to get more and more messed up on drugs and what ever kind of problems he got into and he had been breeding his dogs away from what he should of been doing and selling some very crossed up dogs and a number of people will say that they did not look right many of them looked like he had been lying on pedigrees even don himself said this everyone at the time felt rod was lying he was offered the chance to dna test his dogs and said he would do it but when push came to shove it never happened.

The main problem is some people believe an ab got into his genepool somehow as rod used to be a breeder of american bulldogs his later dogs did not look right at all and anyone with a good understanding of those dogs will tell you that peddlers won't though.

Rods yard was setup to get those dogs out into the game don knew what rod was about and decided to show rod where to get dogs from as he believed rod would breed up a bunch of dogs and sell them and it would get the numbers of that blood up which is a good thing but rod got more and more greedy towards the end and numerous reports of him scamming people lying about dogs ect it did not end well.

I'ts a shame rod died though I do miss him he was a character for sure and a really funny guy but i believe in the end drugs got the better of him I think anyone would of been happy to own some of the dogs he had in the early 90s and if they say otherwise they are lying.It's a shame however that all that blood now is tainted what ever is left of it.

When i think of rod i try to remember him for the earlier dogs he had and not the end result.

Would be interesting to see what else is left of the real pure mayfield blood anyone here ever have those dogs ?

I agree trotline but it was an obviuos attempt to de-merit mr boudreaux...
Bad taste IMO,,, but I am a fan of both mens accomplishments also and understand the best test for a dogman and bulldog is time...

its not an attempt at anything that pic has nothing to do with me,the only way that could discredit mr boudreux is if like any of us he bred off a dog like that ,,, as mentioned by others better to try an fail than not try at all no disrespct there,,, i just thought with hindsight the thread coulda done without it as it ould tke it of course,,, i also mentioned before i was very good friends wth don i have no concerns of offending him ,,
