i am never sure why people get so excited about how many spins a mill belt will do, as long as it does more than about 5 then it is free enough for any dog, a mill that spins 20 times etc is all well and good but whats the point, a dog can onoly run so fast and if a mill turns 5 times then it is easy enough for any dog to run, i prefer build quality and for me the gambler mill is better built but both will work a dog fine.there are of course plenty of others that will do the job well enough too.

Its not how many the times the belt gose round that counts!!. As a light weight slat belt will run"" less"" turns then a heavy belt. what thuse counts in a mill is less ore no vibration in the belt, and the SPEED the mill can give your dog. and the MINIMUN amound of efford the dog needs to give to spin the mill .

Also a mill is a ""stamyna"" builder, not a strenght builder . that is being done bij ordenary hand walking at a normal pace having the dog pull in a harness.(forget about spring pool, tug of war ecetera those ecsersizes distroi te build up of stamina and wear your dog out)
we have a Mill thats been our own disign witch is curendly being restored.
Its a very light weight frame but very riged and it spinns around 5 times .
but the mill is incredible fast. uses around 70 solid thin aluminum wheels in 2 banks of 3 row,s who have a 0.15748031496062992 inch contact sirfes. and hase go kart wheels front and rear. and the swish bareings.

It can be taken apart with one Hex kind of tool in 5 min and put in the boot of a car. it hase NO wouden ore plastic side walls but a plastic fabric(like a cirten) so that the tail is prottected . the wheel bed frame is seperated from the frond and rear (lets call them) Bulkheads...
there is a bit room for improvement, when it comes to vibration but not alot. so far so its the best mill we ever had out of the 5 mills we have been useing umongst us.
In the near future we wil buy the limited edition top of the line a dog trotter . and see if it lives up to its ecspectations on the speed times efford we belive a dog needs to get a stamina workout.... seen a lot of mills being build over the years. the dog trotter is by far the best ""build"". altho i personaly prefeur a no nonsens less Gagets mill.

    Thanks for the input

I've already purchased a medium pro model with dog trotter. Should have it any moment now. From other people's experience i heard so far it seems dogtrotter is a really solid mill, with less or no vibration in the belt and with a good "anti shock system". What i also rly like is the accu break so you can accualy do build strength by increasing the resistance, so you can simulate a drag and also to make a easy and safe stop. i think it will be easyer the put the dog on aswell, or to introduce a dog to a mill cause it doesnt spin untiill u release break. Prices arnt so bad either with the current rate of exchange between euro-dollar.

  14. Looked at all models of Dogtrotters mills. One thing i agree with though, all that flash is not needed and doesnt make a mill run any better or worse.
However, we are talking about gamblers experience in building mills, over 25 years of it, and imo, today, he is the number one designer and builder of treadmills anywhere in the world.

I was personally set on buying the limited edition top of the line mill, only a few days ago. I changed my mind and instead have settled on the `pro - medium` with custom made shock absorbers on the roller bed ( Not a standard feature ).

My reasons for this, apart from the price tag, was that essentially, all that extra cost is for the bling and the air incline feature, along with an autograph and exclusivity. I suppose its what floats your own boat, but the cost wasnt justifiable to me.

So im looking forward to the pro model with extras, and i beleive this mill will last a lifetime. After i get this, my next mill will be a colby carpet, 2 of the best products on earth imo.

  16. I think if that belt was tighter, it would spin hell of a lot more. Very impressive though, well done. The only thing that lets down an rp mill, is the finish. IMO

a Major problem with tred mills the world over is noise!! lots of people who live in cities have problems with that . the first mill maker who can build a mill thats free spinning and fast with little efford and is silend and offers most bang for your buck is gonna sell them as hot cakes...

  18. Limey kennels

    Limey kennels CH Dog

ps Lucky strike look in the wave in the lower belt , THATS the rezen it spins 8 ore times around!!. if that wave is not presend it wil runn LESS rotations. the wave pulls the beld backwards useing gravety to spinn it.

  19. Ok Limey, no probs. Gamblers mills are veryh quiet. The mills with the CLEAR plastic slats are even quieter.
