Correct definition of dogman to me

Here it is in purest sense of the word Dogman or woman.Someone who has a stong understanding of nutrition,bloodlines,canine physiology,exercise,and any other peice of thing that will benefit the breed for the sole purpose of love of the breed.This does not include gamblers,peddlers, and any other circus personal whose whose deep down motivation might be money,looking cool list goes on.

 

Also all dogs that are curs are blue dogs,fastlane,bullies and any other canine that aint game.Good dogs but not Gamedogs.

One thing is damn sure about dogmen is they aint here 24 7 about chitchat. Forgive me but I thought the purpose of this was persevering gameness.if Winning is what its all about it puts more emphasis on mouth and maybe smarts but those things quit on top even.to each his own.but gamenes first even inspite of loss .those are true bulldogs.and there are alot of good guys giving away alot of good dogs to capable hands or even just good people.But for majority its about the cash.

 

Preserving gameness has nothing to do with anything.. that's a principle that many go by but bulldogging carries many variables. Many people don't even breed!! They not dog men cause they don't breed? You love your animals. take great care and pride in your husbandry, pick up shit, feed , walk and treat a working dog as such is a dogman to me. Apbt is just one of many breeds of working dogs! there are many yard and many people fucking with different breeds !! They are dog men in their own right

 

I will salute that.we all pick our breeds and our proud of them.I always say at work when the guys showtheir dogs what a beautiful dog but if it aint pit it aint shit.WHICH is Ignorant of me because I truly love all dogs even wolves.But I think pit owners are very proud of their breed.And when they ask what so special about pits I say you cant keep a good dog down.The same as a man you cant keep a good man down.im talking physical sports now.You need to be tough from within.And all them other dogs dont have that.BUt then those sled dogs pulling is some wild shit.

 

Winning is the name if the game period. You in that corner faced of with a bulldog between your legs. Anything else is just by product of searching for the one bulldog to hold between your legs in that corner.
Now all that by prouduct is handled very differently from person to person or camp to camp. But with what ever you paint your own picture with you are gambling, whether with money, your freedom, your breeding program, time spent on a bulldog you raised, its all in all honesty gambling. Once again the very handling and management of any adpect of that by product puts your in the dogman category in the bulldog life style.
At the end of the day this is my view and just bringing something to the table to share to get into a more informed conversation and not taking as set in stone.

i agree! Some of these green horns need to talk less and listen more, Read more and post less. eventually the common part of sense will kick in and what they say may actually start to make sense. Until then they just keep digging themselves deeper into the ignorance hole.

I am a proud pooper scooper.and couldnt care less about the legit people or keyboard warriors.I met a couple of different so called legits and the dogs were nothing more than than 30 minute thunder.I guess they did win though.

A dogman is an individual who puts dogs at the top of the list of activities he participates in.
He raises dogs to match. He matches as often as they are available. He goes into the highest rated animal in his vicinity.
He knows a good dog or bitch when he sees one.
He breeds his share of HIGH QUALITY COMBAT DOGS.
Some dogman are more ambitious than others. They plan ahead for the future, some do not want to come out of their neck of the woods, while others will travel to several different states for the opportunity to match. We have our dogman that roll thirty times a year, but match only once every four years. We have our dogman who match ten or twelve times a year ( these are the ambitious ones). We have the pit side talkers, who talk a good fight, or criticize the pit contestants, but when called upon to match have some excuse like "I'm too busy to condition", "I work too late", or "I have a bad knee". The above excuses are the result of laziness or of being afraid to lose. We have some dogman that claim this certain dog in thier bloodlines won or killed over twelve dogs, when in reality, no one ever seen this dog win or one match and nothing was ever reported in the journal. We have talkers who have baddest dogs in the world, but they will NEVER ever match.
Everyone has the right to express his opinion and we all do, but the real dogman will back up his opinion with his dogs and his money.
