Well for those who don't know I recently found two male pups near 5pm traffic with ribs and spine highly visible. I gave one to a friend and I kept the other one.

Well call me crazy but I went through the neighborhood where I found them and knocked on a few doors, with a huge blade in my back pocket not knowing what to expect, to find out who they belonged to with no intention of returning them. I found the couple who they belonged to and boy let me tell you she was long winded(not mad though). I made up a story telling her that me and a friend who works for the SPCA found the dogs and he was keeping them at his place but couldn't take them in for shots because we couldn't give them the same shots twice. I don't know if that's true or not but it sounded good at the time. I told her that we both lived across town and the dogs will be going to the SPCA for checkups as soon as we found out their shot history and DOB's

The lady said the dogs are brothers and one of'em was her sons that he bought with his own money he had saved and the other dog she was babysitting for someone. She said they were about 7 months which couldn't be accurate. When I asked her for their DOB she didn't know it but she said when she got them they were 3 months and she got them in July of this year. These pups look no older than 3 or 4 months because their teeth aren't even solid but I'm no vet. I asked her about shots and she said that they both had their rabies and parvo shots. She said the reason they were starved is because she went out of town for the weekend including Halloween and they got loose sometime around then, so they must have went at least 4 days without eating. She said she can't afford to get them out the pound so her son is just gonna have to suck it up and that's what I was thinking.

My wife just kept calling me crazy but I wanted to know some things and my questions were answered. Thanks for reading!

Good stuff, it sounds like u made the right decision to rescue those pups because they would have easily died in no time if those people continued to care for them. Good for u and good luck with them, u gotta post some pics of the pups

I won't call you crazy, i will just call you responsible, and good hearted. We as a group have to start confronting these a$$holes because nobody else will.

    Good on you!

Sounds like ya hustled em out of a dog! If you were worried about caring for both of them, low on funds, and didnt want to seperate them...and you found the original owner who from what you said seems decent, and made a mistake, why lie to her, and not just offer the dogs back? Just curious...

How do you figure she seems decent when she left the dogs outside in the cold with no shleter and no food and what little rain water we had? Yes I did see her backyard because there were two boards of fencing missing with orange cones in place of them which still gave them enough space to get out obviously. Now I'm calling you crazy, no an idiot. I'm not low on funds to the point where I can't care for another dog but two at one time was a shock which is why I let him go to a good home of a close friend. Hustled? Nope, I just found a good dog with a bad caregiver and took him under my wings.

It seems like you try to be an a$$hole but you need more practice. Two dogs were hungry and loose near heavy traffic so I should've just took them back and said "I'm sorry I found these dogs but I fed them for you so their ribs and spine won't show anymore".

People can't feed dogs if they arent in their yard! How were we supposed to know they were chained in the backyard with no food, shelter, or water? I have empty chains, and food/water bowls out back, and a broken fence. Does this mean I neglected my animals? Nope, it means they arent using that area is all, and theres no sense filling water bowls if the dogs arent there!

I'm simply peicing things together from what info YOU have given. It doesnt much matter, we both know you'll keep changing the story until it fits your needs, and makes you sleep better at night. I'm curious how you seen the backyard, if you were just knocking on doors to try and locate an owner? "Ok, I've got your dogs, whats their D.O.B., their records, and oh, how about I go investigate the backyard?"

    Somethin aint right.

I think you have a problem with me which is just apart of life. I know people will always find ways to ridicule me,hate me and what I do but in cases like this either you got something good to say or you shut the hell up. The way I see things is, say what you want but as don't put your hands on me it's all good, so keep talking and trying to make it seem like I took something dearest from somebody.
The dog is in a home where shelter, food and attention are surrounding him daily and I'm proud to say that I'm taking care of the little guy because he deserves it.

    BULLSHIT!

You better hope to GAWD that your dogs dont escape you. Dont expect that I will give you kuddos.....you found the owner and the situation wasnt that bad ....you might as well stole those dogs.

You made a choice and it was a selfish one not selfless.

you would be kissin that ladys ass had she found and brought your petbull home.....all in all tho, shit happens.

Better hope im having a good day.....might not look for your ass. Dont worry I'll make sure that dog gets cared for.

Edit: Dont even try to reason with it. The more I read on this the more it pisses me off.....Glad I didnt reffer you. You help that kid out and give him his dog back.

Selfish could be one of the good ways to put it. Having a pup around means I have to spread the love between my female and this little pup now. Out of all of my dogs, none of them was ever loose, with ribs and spine visible. If I gave her the dogs back I would be too worried about them and that's not going to be on my mind so yeah call me selfish, that's a good way to put it and I never thought of it that way, thanks Simms! Hey if I seen it agian I would do the same in a heartbeat even if it was one of your dogs.

BTW: my dogs spend 90% of their day inside and it'll always be that way so I have no worries about them getting loose and when they are in the yard guess whose with them, me that's who. So find another avenue to try and jump on 14Rock d**K

What's with the name calling, you'd seem tougher if you talked to me like a man. Yeah poor kid, he wasn't old enough to handle a dog like that anyway, glad I could steal him from him without him noticing it was me.

Wow, never really thought this would turn into such a big argument. Now here' my two cents, if you dont like it then you can just shove it.
Mr. Biggs- I think that it is wonderful that you have taken in these dogs that were in need of some help. Not many people would have done that. Now, as for knocking on doors and lying to the owner, I dont agree with the lying part. You could very well have given the dogs back to the owner and gave her a little bit of education and asked if you could periodically checked in on the pups or offered her a helping hand. So Essentially, IMO you did steal those dogs, maybe not intentionally, but ya did take them, found the owner, then kept them anyway. That's just not right. You didnt even say whether or not she had someone to watch the dogs or not. Just she went on vacation. So she is sitting there thinking her dogs are in some pound somewhere. If you're gonna keep em, go around knocking on doors, at least have the balls to tell the truth man.
Oh and since when do "Breed Advocates" advocate stealing animals?

I don't know if she had anyone else watching them why she was out of town because she didn't say but she did mention that she thought some neighborhood kids had stole them because she's heard of some kids going around stealing peoples dogs. Why would I give them back to the same people who didn't even know where her dogs were, what type of sense does that make. I guess I'm just a different type of person. I'm definitely a one hitter quitter. Not everybody gets a second chance at life and these dogs are no substitute. I'm making damn sure myself that their life is right. Yeah I lied and I feel like she was truthful enough to tell me that she left the dogs for a few days without food, water and I seen they had no shelter because she showed me how they got out the fence which gave me a direct view to the backyard.
Since people are starting to say I stole these pups I think this isthe most human theft I ever committed my life. Oh well, can't please everybody and not trying to.

Which part, so maybe I can re-word it for you although I'm sure you'll still read it the way you want and hell yeah I'm real excited that I came across these pups before anybody else who wouldn't be. Why would anybody let these pups be in that situation. If that's how you handle your dogs then someone to needs to actually take them from you if not then don't hate.

Now, before they escaped. Now someone may have stolen them? How about you log off think real hard of a good story, then come back. Make sure its consistant now.
