Anyone ever use this on a dog? We are STILL battling Arez's lip fold dermatitis  and this is the new suggestion from the vet to try. He didn't really give me detailed instructions so I was just curious if anyone else has used it, how they applied it and if it worked! :D

one of my dogs has lip fold issues. i use a kind of wipe i get from my vet and it works very well. keeps the problem away for quite some time. and when it comes back, i just use the wipes again a few times a week (u many need it more or less depending on the severity or your problem) and it goes away. super easy and effective. more than anything else i've ever tried.

i can't remember the name of it, but i'll look at it for you when i get home tonight if you want.

Was it Dermapet Malacetic Wet Wipes ElJayBee? I was snooping around online for some ideas and found that stuff. Anyone want to bet I won't be able to get it in Canada? :o lol

Sorry, I just now remembered to look for you! Forgive me..... :o

The ones I currently use are called Mal-A-Ket wipes. They contain Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2%, Ketoconazole 1%, and Acetic Acid 2% as active ingredients. So basically an antiseptic, and anti-fugal/anti-yeast, and a pH balancer/mild antibacterial (vineger).

They're made by the same company, but the ones I use also have the ketoconazole added. They work wonders for me. Hope this helps?

THANK YOU! I will definitely ask my vet about it. Gaud... I hope they carry it in Canada. The list of crap I've tried on her is getting pretty rediculous. I read that sometimes they need to just have the fold surgically removed but man... she's eleven and I hate the thought of putting her under, even though her bloodworks good. It'd be nice to be able to clear it up topically. I'm loosin' hope though! lol

I was searching online for some way to order it. These guys don't accept Paypal though and I don't do the credit card thing. :(
