Oh, I hear ya....one of mine I think is mixed, with boxer also I assume. She was given to me by someone who could not keep her. She was a handful in her younger years.....pretty mellow now, but likes to antagonize the other dogs every chance she gets, lol.

I'm not so ignorant to say that nothing will ever go wrong, even with dedication, but I am not going to admit that something will go wrong. It's hard to explain what I'm trying to say here, lol, but to me, that means I surrender to the idea that there will be problems ahead no matter what I do.

Hold on a minute....If the dog is lost or stolen, where are her owners? Why are they not looking for her? Why are there no bullitens or signs to report the missing dog? Nobody asked CrazyK9 if she checked the pound to see if a dog matching the description was reported lost or stolen. So why are some of you so quick to jump down her throat? I think she did a good thing by taking the dog for the time being. If the dog ran up to this man, it could run up to anyone.....someone that might not be so nice to her. Or maybe it would have got in to the street and got ran over by a car.

Nobody has an issue about her taking in the dog, we just have an issue with trying to adopt out the dog without looking for the owner first

I have a strange step daughter and she one night found a beautiful little female APBT on a back road. Took her home which was about a 30 mile trip called us to ask if we wanted it. After ?ing her we found out the dog had info on the collar.. We told her to call the number. She calls then calls us back and tells us there was no answer but she left a message but was sure they wouldn't call back. She was going to take the dog to the shelter if they didn't call the next day. We had to beg her to wait, since she found the dog on a friday night, till monday. Well sure enough early monday morning she got a call from a woman so happy to find her dog. Sometimes people find dogs and take them out of the area where they live, then the dog gets free.

It's ok Diva, but thanks. They have every right to be upset, especially if they've dealt with something like this before. I don't appreciate the assumptions, but it's no big deal. I don't take anything said too personally, I just learn from it. ;)
