Dear Blacky I know it's almost 9 yrs to late and I don't even know what the shelter did with u but I just wanted you to know to that I don't blame u for what u did to Amanda that day she deserved it cuz she should have known better than to be jabbing u with a stick let alone keep doing it. U gave her a warning growl to get her to stop but she wouldn't so u did what u did out of self defence. The reson u had to go was cuz Amanda told her mom what u did to her but failed to mention what she did to deserve that reactment back to her. I didn't want u to go thats y mom and dad took u when I was at school so I wouldn't have a fit cuz they knew how close we were. Remember the time when u were in the basement and mom yelled "Blacky Leeanns Home!" then u came bounding up the stairs and knocked me on the couch and showered me with kisses? I saw a dog that looked just like u at the shelter a few weeks ago and o if i only knew it was u I would've taken u in a heartbeat! It matched u perfectly the age was 9yrs and u'd be 9yrs. The only thing was they had it listed as rottie/lab mix instead of lab/pitbull mix. We miss u Blacky! I'll u see at the bridge someday!

Been there before plenty of times. Somtimes you gotta get it off your chest. Good way to post for the first time.

 

This actually the 1st post on here and the 1st memorial for only him I have another 1 on another forum i belong dedicated to him and our little max.

 

I figured some of u might want to see a pic of Blacky. This was taken shortly b4 that incident.

We get them and lose them, just like our family, they go to, but we are here to remain to speak in their name, until our last breath that can force out words.

 

reminds me of the first and only time i had to put down one of my dogs, not from being hurt. with my first kid on the way, my vet said i should do a "baby test". up intell them my rotty was the baby. so i got a baby doll whent to a freinds house and got a few baby things so there would be sent of a baby and not just the toy smell. after all if theres no baby scent then he would think it was just a toy and the test would be rong. i put the baby doll one of her spare car sets and caryed it around set it next to the door and my dog did what i was soo hopin he would not. he got the doll and befor i new it the doll was in 40 pices. I talked it over with my vet. and had him put down. For fear of some one else gettin him and not taking the care they should with him. As much as it hurt to do this, I could never for give myself if he had got into the rong hands and killed a kid.
