Best eli blood avaliable?

Looking to get new pup. Any suggestions on the best eli avaliable to purchase now. I hunt with these dogs.

 

if you are asking that type of question IDT the "best blood" is going to do you a bit of good. there's a lot of good dogs in texas & a lot of folks that hunt hogs with them. you can throw a rock in texas & hit a good eli dog. the way things are now I wouldn't tell you anything more then what i did.

There are a shit ton of good eli dogs not to mention a shit ton of individual sub familys of eli dogs. Its a brood family. Nigerino/Skull/Mavrick/sixbits/art/Rascal just to name a few. Not to mention the incrosss within the eli familys. Do some homework. Pick out youre own dog,dont have strangers do it.

 

I really like the Maverick/Sixbits blood bred to heavy Nigerino blood. The ones I seen from this mix are IMO the best Eli dogs around. Big Game. If you ever get a chance to get your hand on a heavy Nigerino bitch GET IT! She would fit right into your program!

 

IMO the Art/Eli Jr are the gamest of the Eli strains but with the same crunch.

 

When I decided to get into eli dogs I was going to get something heavy on sixbits ,niggerino or Art ... at that time I had no connections to get tha Art blood I wanted.( I do Now) I was a tick away from getting something off the last Budwiser/Black beauty Breeding but then I stumbled appon my sixbits dog and went that direction. I have ben told by the breeder of my bits dog and manny others Sixbits/Nigerino is a hell of a cross. My next eli dog will most likely be a Art/hog or Art/Kingfish Bitch down from the J-mac stuff.

Yes, Floyd did tinker with this cross. The 49 dog was one he admired alot. I kick myself in the ass everyday for not getting something sired by the 49 dog. Alot of good dogs came from 49!! Big Game, I also almost got a dog from the Budweiser/Black Beauty breeding. I kick myself for that too! By all means, get yourself a heavy Nigerino bitch. I'd go that direction before I'd go with the Art/Kingfish stuff. Not that it isn't good.....it's what I have but the Nigerino stuff would be superb with what you have. JMO

 

Yea i'm lucky enough to have access to that 49' & bozareno stuff all day, i'm excited to try it with my maverick/eli jr stuff

 

Northern Outlaw I doubt I could go wrong ether way. The Owner of that Art/hog stuff just did a Straight Sixbits/Art/hog cross, the pups should be close to maturity Right now. Best belive Imkeeping a closer eye on how that turns out!. That would have ben something If we both had got one of those Budwiser/B.Beauty pups lol. My first order of bussness considering my Sixbits dog reaches stud statious would be to take him to this White and brindle patched Eli/Kingfish/zebo bitch...:eek:

Could have looked at his peds and seen that Frank. I also have a tight sixbits male I know others besides J.C. who have done this cross with mutch success.
