5 ply! That is to thick. My 3 ply will last longer then your dog.

O'Briens and Sporting Collars will outlast a dogs life though. I'll give wardogs a shot soon.

I dont like the sporting collars or the mags cant trust that metal. I dont know why I just dont like the rings of metal on a collar. But yeah the 5 ply might not allow for much movement might cause it to be weaker because it wont bend. O well still want one.

Yes Hurricanes are the BEST but way over-priced!

Sporting Collar came in 2nd but I believe they are gone and O'Briens are a great value!

Stillwater is still at the top for me!

Ima try Wardogs collars soon also!

WD's collars are A-1. My friend has all his dogs tied out with them. He says now all he worries about is his O-rings and swivels. They are the best built collars I have seen since my old collar maker passed.

strongstuff are too thick, very ungiving and hard, can hardly get them fastened or through the catchloop.i would not recommend them.overkill in my opinion.
i use stillwater, value for money and good quality.i would like some from hurricane but they are a little expensive and stillwaters collars do the job just fine for less.

i think only the harnesses from strongstuff are nice, other stuff they have no thanks
Hurricane for sure great collars, but sometimes i find it not comfortable for the dog his neck,
and will make the dog lose his hair at the throat and make the throat become very red :(
MAG collars i dont like at all, i had 2 collars in the past and my dogs on chain broke them,
almost lost some good dogs there because that garbage!
Only harnesses from MAG i like the most!
Stillwater still at my nr.1, only for my diabo i really always must use the swivel,
because the ring from other collars will turn cirkels when he being his active self outside
And that the ring turning cirkels makes me very scared because looks so unsafety :(

    just my 2 cents :D:dogkiss:

I still like the stillwater collars the best, I am going to have to check out wardogs stuff though.

Strong stuff is indeed very thick to thick for my small dogs.
MAG are ok, i have a lot but they are just for walking your dog not chaining them.
Stillwater is great, sometimes bad crafted but for that price who gives a sh**.
And i got no Hurricanes, because of the Stillwater collars.
there cheaper and good enough for me :D

strongstuff will make a collar to how you want one. the 5 ply are too thick as sumbeam has said but if you get thinner one they are good quality. his service is top draw also

What happened with sporting collars? There site is gone now and does anyone know of another site that will put your dogs name on the collar like sporting collars did?

I was sold when my friend told me the collar was older than both of his dogs. Something like 13 years and thats with daily use and rather large bulldogs. The mag stuff just looks cheap sorry and stillwater is good just like how strong stuff is put together.

I use Hurricane. Imo it's by far the best collars made. Sure they cost a bit more than some of the others, but if you only have a couple of dogs, it's worth it. I have one thats been used everyday for about twelve years, and it's still like new, only a bit dirty.
Have a couple of stillwater collars to, and they are great, especially considering the price.

The stuff from MAG are pure garbage, wouldn't even use it on a poodle.

Forgot to add. The strongstuff collars are great if you order them 3 ply instead of 5 ply, just like redbill said.

bulldog supply and wardogs collars are on par quality wise. compared to stillwaters 3ply collars i would go with one of the first two, they'll last much longer.
