Ok has anyone ever heard of a dog’s behavior changing when his owner is pregnant? I know I have heard of cats disliking pregnant people.

I am sure others will have their input....I am not going to get into it again, as I have already done so....LOL

Man that post got kind of scary. I felt like they were yelling at me too. I almost cried….but I am very emotional right now.

  4. LOl....It will be ok, I didnt cry, I just got madder than hell.....people that had no clue, were trying to tell me what is best for my situation....made me mad...
Fact is, they do know your pregnant....they will let you know..
Does your dog do anything in particular right now, that has you asking this? How far are you?

  5. lol...sorry wrong thread!

  6. Yes I have heard of this. I had a chow chow growing up, and when my older cousin was pregnant the chow became very protective of her, and would follow her every move. Once the baby was born the dog was also very protective of the new child also.

I have two dogs a male, who is 3, and a female, who is 6 months. My female is sweet as ever, but the male is getting more in more stubborn. He is well trained, so well that you could leave food on the coffee table and he would touch it. He was never really hyper and got a long well with our other dog and kittens. Now he thinks he can do anything he wants, he is very vocal, and is being mean to the puppy. I don’t think he means to be. But now she is afraid of his roughness.

I think its because I sleep a lot more and he thinks he is Alpha over my husband, so I guess he is running the show the way he wants it.
