    Hello Folks

I have an adult male Pitbull He is coming up on 3 years Old. I am looking to purchase a female pup soon. I realize that no dogs should be left alone. Would there be any big problems at first, raising the 2 together as she is growing up? I figure I may have to seperate them when she is older. Any helpfull info appreciated?

    Thanks

You know your dog better than anyone so you'd be the best to judge if he'd be okay with a puppy. Opposite sex pairings are the best bet, yes. We let our non-APBT male help hang with our female pup way back when. No significant problems except later we'd have to separate because he pestered the hell out of her when she grew into sexy womanhood. LOL

I got my new girl at 11weeks and the boy is 5years old, ive had a few hiccups, shes a little to cocky for her own good, shes got a few scars from him, but she knows her place now. They get along 98% of the time, but shes only 5months so time will tell.

The biggest problem you'll have is when you first get her. There will be so hiccups then, but if you get past that they should be fine.

Depends on the dog. For the most part mine are good with pups but the pups tend to annoy and jump on the adults and can get themselves fuycked up in a hurry. My follow the "better safe then sorry" system

Just play it by ear, see if he is ok with small period of the puppy. When i got my first bitch years ago, my boy hated her with a passion, i feared for her life hahaha. after a few weeks he was fine.
