I need an opinion from someone more knowledgeable about these things than me. I am interested in putting a deposit down on one of his upcoming puppies. The female's pedigree is the main thing that interests me about the litter but I was interested in people's opinions on him. He has some heat in there (gr ch Virgil, gr ch blackjack, ch jeep, ch honeybunch, mountain man's bandit and others) but he seems scatter bred and that worries me. How do others feel. Is this a decent pedigree or would you recommend I pass?

  2. I'm not an expert by any means, just looking to make an educated purchase.

While not heavy inbred on 1 certain dog he is linebred around a few dogs.

For the price you posted on PBC? No way, especially for a puppy.

  5. Is that good or bad?.sorry to but in.and I know it depends on the individuals them selfs.but do you think you can put dogs together in that way?.or would you prefare to use a pedigree what was more line bread to only one dog?.I thought it would be better my self to use a pedigree that's line bread around a few.especially if them few are similarly related in some way or other?.or is it just personal preference?.or just what ever work's for people?..I thought line breeding to a few great individuals(if there similarly bread.),would be a lot better then then breeding to one great individual?...............

never really a bad thing, you most certainly can put dogs together like that. That's what many did wit the Colby/Lightner dogs, they weren't inbred around 1 they had families and linebred them to create what they wanted. I'm not sure what your use of the dog is and if it matters how they are bred whether tight or loose or completely unrelated but I'm a believer that any dog can be anything.

I think he said something like 4K to 5K.. for puppies? Shoowee..

  10. Sorry I am terrible at using this site still. But no I never said that was the price the other guy mentioned those high numbers. I was just asking what would be fair so I would know what to be expected when I call the breeder. I'm trying to decide if I should make a deposit on this litter or wait for a future breeding.

  11. Lol no that was the other guy who said that's how much he thinks is a fair price for puppies I said that seemed very high

Very good looking as far as the ped goes. It's getting hard to find good Renegade blood these days that's not down from stompanato. Renegade was a phenomenal pit dog and I know this because I own videos of his rolls that include mtn man commenting on his performance. Running up hill and utterly destroying opp that went on to win two. He was also a very solid producer. The blackjack in there niks very well because of the Jeep and that being Jeep and Gr ch outlaw were half brothers. People underestimate how much bottom is pulled from the kingfish that's coming down through tiger lil. Add in the nigerino through Renegade's bottom and coming through Oso Rino, who turned out to be a fantastic producer and your odds are good that you will get something. A little extra crunch from vigil, but really it comes down to the breeder and have he done his job? For the right price I would say feed one or two and see what's what. Like I said though if the breeders been doing there job then you should be good.

  15. Thank you sir I think I will

For 4-5k you can buy a couple proven grown dogs and have your own litter to work with.

  18. He was mistaken that's not how much the puppies cost.

That was no dig at you but I would go no more than 600-700 for a pup if your so inclined. That’s just me though!

Yeah i guess i got him and someone else confused but either way...

Do you have any previous experience with the dogs? Just curious, i know when i first started out it was hard just to get people to talk to me let alone sell me a dog lol but of course i see why now and i still only mess with like 3 or 4 people on that level (i like it that way). I think some breeders see new people coming a mile away and will jack the price up.
