I heard a MOAB was dropped on Isis tunnels in Afghanistan today. Mother of All Bombs. Bigger than anything else non-nuclear. This was tested, but not used in combat, in 2003. It fucks shit up for a mile or so apparently.

 

this would all be put on the back burner real quick if a space ship 4x times larger than the earth showed up... hypothetically of course. This is nothing to pay any attention to imo. We all look at life through a vail.

 

It's a bit more complicated than just doing that. Assad is backed by both Russia and North Korea, directly attacking another country unprovoked is against international laws and could potentially turn some of our allies into enemies, even more so in Syria than any other place because of how the country is divided up and already in a 3 way civil war.

I would think most americans do not want to pay for WW3. We're still in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as paying for both those wars for the last decadè.

How about we save the millions of dollars in bombs and fix the pipes in Michigan, or fix the crumbling infrastructure here.. Fuck Syria. We really can't afford it. Plus what happens when Russia gets involved? They have bombs just like we do and they can reach out and hit us just like we can hit them. All we know is war. We spend more than most other countries combined on defense. I'd like to just take the next 4 years and rebuild our own country without blowing up everyone else's that we will turn around and pay for to rebuild.

 

You make good points. It's dangerous to get involved, but also not to get involved. There are lots of ways for unpredictable bad outcomes to occur.
