question about weight

    after reading a recent thread i got to wondering if my dog was to skinny she is 8 months i do not know her exact weight (has not been to the vet since 3 months old) she eats 2 1/2 cups diamond lamb and rice a day finally got a dealer to carry canidae for me so i will be trying it soon but she has never been fat (round belly) she also was the runt her body looks like that of an adult real slender and already starting to muscle up to me she looks good but i would appreciate some comments or advice thanks in advance

    Skinny? Hell no, she looks good compared to those bulked up blue dogs. Unless, if thats what you want her to look like

    no like i said i think she looks good but was reading some comments saying dogs should be fat for about a year this girl was never fat so i began to wonder

    Hey, some dogs are too active to get fat. No problem at all with that. The reason people say keep em fat until a year is to ensure they get all the nutrients and grow to their potential. If the dog has food and just gets full and leaves it, shes fine. Unless shes on a chain outside during the winter months she is at a great weight for a pup.

    I think she looks wonderful compared to the big blue monster Bluffs. Keep up the good work with her.

    The only thing I would advise, is to get a wider, sturdier collar. It looks like that one will, 1)Break, or 2)Slice right through the neck. Other than that, she looks good.

    Yeah, i agree with WWII. You should at least a 1 1/2 in collar. But other than that she looks good!

    hey guys thanks for the comments as far as the collar goes that is not her real collar my daughter likes to use it cause its pink and right now the dog does not pull or anything she is actually pretty mello on the leash she has graduated obediance so she kinda knows whats going on, again thanks for the reassurance
