Is there any certain lines or peds that produced smaller bulldogs consistently?

Theres a thread on here somewhere with people sharing pictures of their smaller Pits. I also started a thread about the smaller bulldogs, a few examples on there. Was going to compile some of the smaller dogs but wasn't too much to go on and lost interest.

Some of the old Colby dogs were pretty small but That's long time ago history and won't help you find bloodlines today.

I remember the thread here with the smaller ones, that was a good thread.

  6. Plenty of lines produce smaller dogs but even within a line certain segments produce differently. There is a million Eli strains all built around different animals but they all go back to heavy Eli breeding. These different segments will throw different types of dogs. I have seen some real small Heinzl crosses.

When they get under 30 they start to not look like bulldogs to me. one of my fav bitches was 33 pounds a red bitch bred down from catch dogs. Very athletic that bitch could run a deer down if she wanted to!!! Died in 03 never could breed her!! she hated other dogs with a passion!

I've got one that is 30 pounds in winter, her sister is about 25 pounds. They have no clue they are the smallest dogs on the yard

  16. Vise-Grip dogs tend to run around 25-40 i believe, where as the Hollingsworth dogs they were based on ran about 10lbs bigger or more. I believe the Vise-Grip dogs run smaller due to Ca Jacks selection and the infusion of carver blood through Ch. Masons Hammer.

I posted on here years ago I saw two 12-14 lb. gyps goo.. That is not correct, while I was busy in the wash room my wife watched the end around three hrs. she informed me they were both at 18 lbs!! Anyway one looked like Cherry Bomb (it wasn't) the other was from Holland!!! Well they called it A draw to save the dogs as they should! The reason why she remembers it she tried to buy the one from Holland! Even though A person could say 3 hrs. how boring, it was anything but that these two little gyps went tit for tat!! When they were separated they both did A good courtesy scratch, and you really couldn't say one or the other dominated! Those had to be the smallest I've seen and been proud to own either one! Yes they both were treated properly and went home wagging there tail!!
