Coconut oil and dogs.

Hello everybody,
We are also using coconut oil, and it's great, it is increasing energy, helps in prevention of infections, diseases, diabetes, it reduces bad breath, improves digestion, increases nutrient absorption... Coconut oil is maybe the best thing for dogs, it has great ammount of positive effects on your dog!

Yes coconut oil is excellent for dogs. I've been using it for a few years now, great for their skin and coat and for general health. There have been recent studies showing that it also improves brain function in older dogs.

I do it every other day or so. I rub them down with it the same day I feed it to keep a normal type schedule with it. Coconut oil and ACV are the only things I typically put into their feed. I'll usually give the ACV on the days I don't give the coconut oil.

You might wanna try in in tablet form, as ACV is very acidic and bad for their teeth.

I mix it in the feed along with 2 to 3 cups of water. I never give it to them straight. I only give 2, at the most 3 tablespoons a week which is well under the recommended dose.

Raw ACV is the only vinegar that is alkaline-forming to the body. All other vinegars (white, balsamic, red wine, etc) are acid-forming.

It becomes alkaline once consumed/digested, which has no effect on the acidity initially. But in all honesty, I seriously doubt one would see any adverse effects over a 10 to 14 year period. I just choose not to do it.

I haven't used it but for a few years so I can't really comment on long term personally, just what I come across in my research of it. I didn't even know it came in pill form until you mentioned it.

oraganic, raw,cold pressed and no f!@@#g HEXANE(let it state that on the bottle) its shit they use in the process of making the oil.If its for humans stay away from the plastic bottles get the ones in glass containers.Plastic food containers is not good for your health at all.Bodyboillders stay away from foods that have touched plastic.one bad bottle wont kill you though

AGK, since your dealing with severe skin problems, another thing i have found is good is to add a bit of activated charcoal from coconut shells/husk and even a bit of DE-I had used this mix as an awesome toothpaste before I found a non flouride one that worked as good. I also added a few drops of hemp oil to the mix last summer, not sure if they got any more shiny but it sure did not hurt.

no problems with long term, I have been using for at least 10 yrs personally 6 with the dogs..only problem is if you use too much..the craps. Both dogs and humans bwahahaha

I don't like the smell of Nu-stock around the house. AGk, just wondering if your females have any Chinaman in them?
I 've met a few people @ confirmation shows who had Black/Chocolate dogs with chronic skin issues,
and I noticed that they all have Chinaman blood . Could just be a Co-wink-kee-dink.

Nope, not even a little. Just a coincidence. It's one of the few things the breed is very susceptible too.

I think your right at one time I was gifted A well bred pair of pups, everytime they were stressed there was coat and skin problems! This was years ago I asked several breeders they said it was from line breeding dogs with underlying health problems. They ALL told me at one time or another they had to deal with it on some level. So I never bred the two, I eventually, had them both fixed and gave them to A neighbor they were tight bred on good combat dogs, but they also made great watch dogs for there Chicken Yard! He bedded them down at an area where he had several battle cocks stolen at night, they always made A bunch of racket when someone new entered the yard! So now even though I've had to spend A little extra early on, I run A COMPLETE work up on any breeding's!!! Indiscriminate breeding (linebreding) has led to more health problems the last couple decades! You can bred for all kinds of great qualities but if you don't have healthy dogs or ones that have underlying health problems your go'n backwards!
