The two pups GH gave me and Bennie, where shy mine more so, she came out of it, I had A place where I could turn her out with the kids to play, but I'll never forget the first time I walked her A car went by and she jumped in the bar ditch! LOL Mid 80's she looked like A miniature RUFUS!

Very nice milehigh. How's the stuff down off hailstone from your experience? I hear he was wound tight and threw some game dogs.

  3. It seems most off the stuff directly off Hailstone were pretty decent dogs with a very intense drive and desire but many were a little crazy, like you said, wound real tight, and many were a few bricks shy of a full load. They were a real hot commodity at the time and several of the dogs off Hailstone made pretty big impacts it seems in others breeding programs. Dogs like Dewitt's Anise and Arease come to mind but GH didn't really incorporate to much of it back into his stock. Although both Hammonds' Black Jack Son and Zacatecas both have a little of it in there. Several of the Hailstone dogs in my pups ped were exceptions to the rule, much more laid back and intelligent too. I haven't been around too many of them and would love to hear others experiences who have. I may have to do a little digging :)

Thank for the feedback. I know the one I have which is a granddaughter of Garner's Santos on top and Granddaughter of Stax on the bottom has an attitude and drive I really like. She is wound tight but not a fool with it , if that makes sense lol. She also is shy towards strangers and smiles as well which I believe comes down from that Hammond's stuff. She is my type of dog especially when it's time to work....

#533110 is my Chinaman, Alligator hound. Pretty interesting ped. I also have a linebred Alligator gyp, Hammonds Kneebuster X Hammonds Holly Bell. Check that out.

  7. Very nice, those pups should be something. How are they coming along? I remember Holly Belle on GH's yard and I really liked here and I like the Tanner dog she produced. I believe he was having trouble getting her pregnant for a while but eventually she took. Are you also the owner of Hailer by chance? I would love to know how these dogs are working out for you and how they compare to some of your other stuff if you don't mind sharing.

I own this male here, I bought him as a pup. He resembles Hailstone in color but has the Parkson look in my opinion. As far as personality goes.. He's a pretty laid back dog for the most part but when you get him off the chain he's a real screamer and work horse! I've owned several other Alligator type dogs. One thing I've noticed with the Alligator type dogs that I've seen, that there is a lack of consistency as far as size. Anyway, I just wanted to share a piece of my opinion of what I've seen.
